Fair enough and the part where darkseid recites his prophecy definitely had a literary feel to it. and did you read return of bruce wayne?

Hell, I don't even know anymore. So much conflicting data it makes my freaking head hurt.
Basically, yeah, he did destroy the universe with his damn mind. I would wish DC gave him a competent writer for an ongoing, just to give him some consistency finally.

I was surprised by # 899, but my real complaint is that Lex made everything look too easy.

LOL. Some writer should just go on record and have Slade say "What? Are you dense? Are you retarded or something? I'm the goddamn Terminator".

Yeh, Brainiac took a dive on this occasion.
I'll pop a vessel if uber Lex loses to Doomsday in the next issue, though.

Nah,the doomsday arc is seperate.I believe cornell confirmed it in an interivew. It's a 96 page comic of which 50 will be devoted to the lex story and the remaining to the others, and after that i'm off the action comics bus.No desire at all to read a doomsday wankfest especially when clues are making it look like a ripoff of the red hulk stuff(lane turning out to be doomsday :

Come again? Ah, I feel better now. There are rumours running around that General Lane will turn out to be inside doomsday's body, since doomsday's last appearence in New Krypton had lex performing experiments on him for Lane.Kinda makes sense too,in this way they can use doomsday as a recurring villian.
