I'm a dept manager.
I run a series of testing and development labs for a large multinational corporation.
The dept is comprised of around 25 engineers who examine 'field failures' (best to think of that like CSI but for dead components rather than dead bodies) and also develop new materials and products.
All sounds fun.......but I get to do less hands on enjoyable stuff nowdays and instead spend more and more time in meetings, leading projects and doing all the people management stuff.....
Time for a career change........
