But Steve didn't get his head cut off. I do think that would end Cap if that matters though. As far as the neural pathways being destroyed, well that is comics. Nearly every character with a healing factor has suffered major brain damage and in most cases, had to problem with their memories with Movie Wolverine being the only exception known to me. And having his brains blown out did actually devastate him. It outright killed him.
But if you feel it should be disregarded, then okay. But I will be back if he suffers any injury that includes any kind of nerve damage that heals up fine.

I don't think it should be disregarded and that is why I'm interested to see where you rank him on this scale. I'm perhaps basing my thoughts on an older period of comics and maybe this just does not represent what the character has evolved in to. Your take might be more representative of the Cap of today.

Hmmm... Well I don't really know how to rank it. The brain is a complicated organ and that is just in normal humans. Sometimes people are shot in the head and make full recoveries while others fall down while walking on a sidewalk and need help putting their pants on for the rest of their lives.

Well we need to put some figures down (stakes in the ground so to speak). How about, Extent: significant +5 Speed: significant +5 But what then for resistance to drugs, diseases and his life span?

There is some inconsistency on his resistance to drugs, disease, and lifespan.
Under some writers, he is immortal, under others he just ages slower and under others still, he ages at a normal pace just remains peak for his age. I favor the immortality because that makes sense to a physically perfect human who's DNA does not degrade.
We see him say that he is immune to the effects of alcohol but I am almost positive I have seen him brought low by gas before.
Theoretically, he should have a much higher resistance to disease due to his enhanced immune system. But I don't think it operates like a legitimate healing factor. I think it operates much like the human immune system, just many times more powerful or sophisticated. It would have to be in order to bring him back to life on its own on numerous occasions. Perhaps his entire body was just converted to tumor cells that have controlled replication lol.

So what about saying that for now he has no adder for disease and drugs and for lifespan we put down immortal until another writer changes it. So it would make Cap America Extent: significant +5 Speed: significant +5 Disease: +0 Drugs: +0 Lifespan: Immortal, +8 Requirements: None, +2 Total: 20

I think the tumor idea is actually kind of cool, funny, and it honestly makes sense. They pumped some unknown chemical formula into his system and then blasted him with unknown radiation lol. He is a walking tumor.
Back to seriousness, the ranking sounds good until they shed more light on his current immune system. Seems to me that they are getting more consistent with his ability lately and refining it a lot more. Such as his current ability to master almost immediately.
The speed being a 5 might be too much though. I think he is somewhere between the 3 and 4 honestly and it seems our ranks round down.
But I do think he needs food and water to maintain that immortality, though it is of my opinion that he probably actually needs very little with a perfect digestive system that makes full use of the food he takes in. Probably hasn't had to shit since he became Captain America.

Cap is immortal? Really? I was under the impression he just ages a lot slower than normal. I remember in HOM, he became an old, old man (he was 100 years old, I think) because he was never frozen in the ice in that reality.

Yup and that is one of the alternate realities which favors the regular aging but peak human for that age thing. In 1602, an alternate reality Captain America was ageless and was an incalculable age when he was transported to that reality. It just seems to be writer discretion when it comes to the subject of his immortality. Nothing has been confirmed for 616 Cap, it is just the theory I favor because it makes the most sense considering his power set.
