LOL.
I don't remember the exact wording, but Bill Maher had a great quote about how he thinks it's ridiculous that people will believe word-for-word a book that was written by man over 2k years ago, but won't believe certain scientific theories (such as evolution and what not).

However, on a serious note, the importance one person gives to something does not give them the right to simply dismiss the beliefs of others and muscle their beliefs on others. Neither does it give the right to be unreasonable or unwilling to engage in intelligent discourse, nor does it give the right to bury one's head in the sand when reason prove them wrong. |
