Who has read the novels? I've read every one of them, they are my favorite novel series so far. Discuss For those who haven't read them, here is proof that the books are awesome:

I have found that you can watch the Dresden Files show on Hulu. I must ask, is it anywhere near the level the novels are on(I only read the first 3 novels so far)

I don't discourage people from checking it out. But no, it wasn't anything close to the novels in quality. Especially since the novels get better as the story progresses. And the canon is completely tossed out in the show.

The cannon is the best part of the novels. It's great how Harry doesn't 'reset' inbetween books like most heroes.

Like I very much was. Especially since by the time it hit the air in Canada. I had already finished Dead Beat (pure awesome, that's when he rides the zombie T-Rex)

I saw that Syfy label and thought it would make a good book to laugh at, I was quite surprised by all the amazing the books contained.

I started them a 1 year after the first book came out, when I had decided to take a pause from crime novels. Since then they've become my favorite novel series.
Micheal Carpenter is awesome.

It seems like he took a pretty weak premise, and turned it into gold. I was quite impressed.

When he came up with the idea, he actually thought it was bad. It was his literature teacher that encouraged him to publish.
incidentally, the original title for the first novel was : "semi-automagik"

I actually like the original title, just for the lol factor. But that's because I'm a big nerd and fantasy buff.

I've read all of of the Dresden books upto Turncoat. Once I've finished that and Changes, I'm in a holding pattern for Side Jobs and Ghost Story.
Just a suggestion if you are reading these books and you haven't gotten to Ghost Story - DO NOT READ THE BACK COVER OF GHOST STORY!

I've every every last story published so far. and that "big spoiler" isn't one if you've read changes.

I haven't read either Turncoat or Changes yet, so it was a major spoiler for me.
