The basicsHermes Overmars Muggle born. Neutral 11" Yew wood with a Phoenix Core. Barred Owl ( Strix varia) Male: SolomonFirst year. Ravenclaw No relation to any character mentioned in the book nor films. Patronus Charm: TortoiseBio. ( So far, birth to 11 years old) Hermes was born to an Englishman, Guus, and a Greek woman, Yiota. They are married; Yiota took the surname, Overmars. Guus was born in England to Dutch parents, and that is origin of the last name. Yiota’s family dates back to ancient Greece. Guus is an esteemed archaeologist and his wife, Yiota is a famous painter. He was born in England but raised all over Europe never really settling down. They constantly stayed in hotels that his parents’ workers provided. For a while they enrolled him into schools, but they would only stay for a few months and then leave. This process lasted a few years until he turned nine years old. His parents had stumbled on to some fortune, when they encountered a private tutor on their travels by the name of, Wander Lefey. Wander was also a person who often travelled and could journey along with them to tutor him. This was a relief because they felt Hermes needed some form of stability. Wander pitied the boy; she could see he wanted some attention from his parents. As much attention has they showed their paintings or their bones. She unintentionally grew close to him, to a point where she saw him as a child of her own. She began to feel this could challenge her potential plans. Months after his tenth birthday Hermes noticed Wander move a painting of his mother’s without touching it. For days he felt he was seeing things, to the point he was dreaming of it, only this time he was in her place moving it. This dream reoccurred so much he began to believe he was the one who did it. He placed himself in the same position, looking at the same painting. He did it; he had moved the painting from one side of the hotel to the other and Wander had witnessed this with a smile on her face. Just after Hermes’ astonishing feat, there was a knock at the door. Upon opening it, there stood a tall man in all black clothing and a hood that darkened his face enough to hide his identity, he also had a strange patch on his eye that seemed to be looking at Hermes. The man pulled out some thin small stick, lifting it up and began to speak the beginning of a phrase that sounded like a magician would use. Unlucky for the man he could not finish this phrase for he was struck by some wave of radiant orange light from behind Hermes. When turning to see what this light was, Wander stood holding a similar stick pointing to the direction slightly above him. The rest of the day she explained to him the wonders and wonderful world of magic and the reason why he was almost killed by the person who just knocked. That he was part of an order of dark wizards and witches, she believe to be eliminating muggle born witches and wizards. Wander had sensed the potential of magic within him and stayed until it manifested. Hermes in a way felt betrayed for her not being honest with him but accepted she had saved his life. Wander handed him an invitation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The only thing for her to do now was to convince his parents to let him join (leaving out magical parts) if Hermes agreed to go to the school. For a year it was back to the way it used to be when Wander was not there. Moving to different schools, after years of this he had a routine, to avoid befriending anyone because it became too hard to say goodbye so many times. He would go to the nearest library in the town or the school if he was lucky and read. One day in the library, he noticed a book on magic. Reading on the myths and legends of magic he became enthralled by the possibilities. It was at this point he now knew he wanted to attend Hogwarts. When returning to the hotel bedroom, on his bed was old looking books, a small box, and a white owl gripping a letter. Inside the letter he read that he had been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. On top of the books was another letter with the letter W on it with information of where he is to go and what time to be there. If you read it, let me know if there are errors, mistakes or whatever because I wrote it all last night and no one else has seen it.

Nah, I was watching Harry Potter today. 2-4. Got me thinking. Funny enough, I had a different character in mind. But when creating this it began to change loads of times. The character I wanted him to be, I split into two female characters and created a new one.

Kenneth Branagh's character wasn't killed. He accidentally gave himself amnesia.

Kenneth Branagh's character wasn't killed. He accidentally gave himself amnesia. Yeah but those were kids. Harry Potter as an adult is a murdering psychopath! So is that other guy with the steampunk eye!

You’re in the world of Magic world of Harry Potter…What is your name?Dane Halcyon. Just like in Star Wars. Are you a muggle-born, half-blood and pure-blood wizard/witch?Probably half-blood seems like a reasonable balance. Are you good, bad or neutral?Going to say good. To me, being an Auror always seemed like the most interesting occupation in the magical world. Besides, imagine magical Cops. That would be some hilarious TV. Barring that, being a teacher for Charms or Defense Against the Dark Arts would be pretty cool. What type of wand do you use?12" Antarctic Beech wood (yay Australia) with a core of Phoenix Feather. What is your companion? ( Owl, Toad or Cat) I'd probably get an owl. They're the only companion that actually has a function in the magical world. Barn Owl's are pretty legit. Does it have a name?Atlas. Have you attended, or attending Hogwarts?I guess I would be a past student at this point. What house where, or are you in?I was sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore and it probably fits me as good as any house. Are you related to any of the known characters?Nah, fan-fic derails badly when that happens. What spells, if any are you most familiar with using? ( If the Patronus Charm, what animal is it?) My patronus would be a dog, for sure. Grew up with a lot of dogs. Trustworthy animals if I am any judge. I don't know what spells I would be good at but judging from my overall tidiness, I'm sure I'd be terrible at the household sort.

yes. And for the record. The writer in interview has personally admitted that the reason HP wizards don't use guns is some bullshit about it being unwizardly or something, then admitted muggle weaponry would be a big problem for HP wizards. So I'd focus on mind control, illusion, summoning of spirits and demons. Then start building both a mundane power base with all the best of the real world and the best of the mystical. If all else fails my personal soldiers with the engrained training of Navt seals equiped with enchanted sniper rounds that eat through magical defenses at a distance of 3 miles would annihilate most of the HP universe characters without them knowing what is going on.

I don't remember any demons in Harry Potter. Least not the 'summoned from the pits' variety.
But yeah, the major problem you have here would be that any actual military force would probably wreck you.
