I'd love to see a mockingbird vs Huntress thread (with huntress' weapons limited to make for a fair fight) And how about Falcon and Black condor Mockingbird would walk all over Huntress IMO Current Black Condor has Wind Manipulation and Super Strength. It wouldn't be fair either. Yeah re Huntress you're probably right. My first thought was Black Canary without a canary cry but I figured too obvious. In the case of Black Condor I should have been clearer, I meant the classic ( GA original). To be perfectly honest the GA fan that I am I almost always thing GA characters first. Speaking of which how about the original GA huntress (i.e villain) for a battle against Mockingbird. www.comicvine.com/tigress/29-19011/At her peak she was a master of Juijitsu and good enough to match Wildcat (who's a master of 4 MA besides boxing) on a few occasions plus the original Black Canary. IIRC she impressed the original Judo Master (off panel but referreed to) in Yong all stars.

That might be a good fight. You can make either of those 3 if you like. I will surely participate.

Power Girl vs The Olympian? That sounds like a pretty good fight, but I'll let Phantom confirm it

Who would give Desak a good fight? Desak...I have the issues he appeared in in Jurgens' run on Thor but I haven't read them. He only has 4 appearances...does he have enough feats to support a good debate?

Man, you need to read those issues right now. It was really some great stuff. This took place during Thor's reign. Y'know when he had the Odin Force and decided to rule over Earth and Asgard. Desak knew of this and felt it best to end his reign, as he ended the reign of all other gods he deemed malevolent. Huge spoilers comin' up by the way. Like I said before, I recommend you read, well, actually it'd be cool to read through all of volume 2, because it was just that epic, but this part, right after the fight with Surtur, Thor getting the Odin Force, that was about issue 45. Thor, Lord of Asgard. And some 30 odd issues later down the line, Thor God's and Men issue 75 is the arc where the following takes place. Anyway, Desak fought Thor once before going on his mission in the Thor Annual 2001 I believe. Thor beat him and Desak was like "Yeah, I'm cool with that. Maybe there are some gods that're alright." Then while he was off in space Zarko, some dude from the future, came to him and said, "Yeah, Thor's gonna get real bad. You gotta kill 'im." And Desak was like "Okay." So he traveled the cosmos takin' out all sortsa other cosmic gods along the way. Then after a few years, the dude makes it, and he tears the place up. Every last bit of Asgard tried fighting against him, but he just put them all down. Y'see, thanks to the Spirit of the Jewel, any and all energy of god origin does nothing to him. As he says to Thor, "As you're immune to the common cold, I'm immune to your power." So in essence, every last bit of the Odin Force through at him did nothing, and Desak continued pwning him for the entirety of two very good, very fun, very violent issues. Loki decided, "Okay, time to unleash the Destroyer!" So he did, and for a bit, it looked like all would be well. That is, until Desak used his power to locate the host of the armor and set her free. Another major spoiler, it was Tarene. And to further spoil more stuff, Tarene aka the Designate, was in fact, the Spirit of the Jewel, the one who gave Desak his powers. So in short, Tarene's crazy cool. After that was all situated, Desak decided to put on the Destroyer armor himself, and continued to massacre the all of Asgard. Until the very end, when some crazy stuff happened, Thor learned his lesson about trying to lord over all of earth, becomes worthy enough to pick up the hammer and defeats Desak like that. I could scrap up some scans if you like, but that's about the gist of it.

Yeah you are right, this does sound really awesome. I'll definitely get on reading this soon and let you know what I think when I'm done. Thanks for the rundown.
Side note: I haven't read most of Jurgens' run yet, but I know it is supposed to be a great run. Occasionally from what I've seen it seems to be under rated when people discuss great Thor runs/history. Actually this is getting off topic now, so I'll go make a Thor discussion thread in the Marvel thread.
But I'll read these issues then maybe I can throw in my input as good opponent for him.

Anyone think of a Batman vs Lex Luthor each with 5 days of prep would be a descent battle? Or should I decrease the amount of days?

Anyone think of a Batman vs Lex Luthor each with 5 days of prep would be a descent battle? Or should I decrease the amount of days? In my opinion, Luthor is better with prep than Bats is; so unless BatMan is receiving more time to prepare than Luthor is, Lex should probably win.

Power Girl vs The Olympian? That sounds like a pretty good fight, but I'll let Phantom confirm it Oh man, 25 days to finally see this. Must be an all time record for me. It could be a good fight. They're relatively close and, I can see case made for both of them.

I have yet to notice any real tournaments. For one reason or another organizing such things has been fun for me recently.
I am considering bringing up a tournament where anyone from Kaine's power-level down could be utilized with each member picking three characters to use through-out the tournament.
Just an idea, consider this a pitch to see if anyone is interested.

Current version. Well not dead. Pre-"dead" version. aka Post-Crisis.

Which crisis? Pre-Final crisis or with the Final Crisis boost?
