If you could pair any two comic characters for their own title, who would they be and why? What universe woul their title take place in? What assortment of villains (or heroes) would they face off against?

I usually disaprove of crossovers because of the many issues they raise. But anyway I once thought it might be cool to see a Doctor Strange/Doctor Fate crossover.
make then fight some eldricht abomination or something

What I'm especially interested in is how the two would interact, and what type of plots they'd go through. For example, a cliche but fun short title could be Deadshot and Bullseye. Floyd would naturally view Lester as sick / dementend, but I think both would relish in the competition as they compete for merc work and what not. I think it would do well under the 616 Universe (pre-Shadowland, of course).

I agree with Crom that generally, crossovers are terribly written. There are some that I would love to see as long as it is written correctly. An example would be Darth Sidious and Doctor Doom working together. Most people don't know this, but Sidious is extremely effective with prep, even more so than many well-known comic characters, like BatMan, Black Panther, or Iron Man, for instance. He is not as good with prep as Doom is, but with both of their mystical knowledge, both of their strategic understanding, and both of their resources, they would be even more dangerous than usual on their own. Sidious has proven a galactic threat on his own, and Doom even more than that. So it would be interesting how large-scale a threat they could pose if they worked together, assuming of course that they manage not to betray one another. XP

There were two crossovers involving BatMan and SpiderMan, one with Carnage and Joker and another following it with Kingpin and Ra's al Ghul. Both were excellent, in my opinion, except for the part where BatMan was able to hurt Carnage with generic punches (>_<). Aside from that though, they were good. I would like to see another one, again, of course, on the condition that the comic is well written. Either that, or have Nightwing and SpiderMan or Red Robin (Tim) and SpiderMan team up. Any one or all of those would be good. ^_^

For this situation, assume the title you're creating would be well done. Hell, even give it a creative team if you'd like! (writer/artist)

Alex Ross on the cover. David finch on the Pencil and Ink. Guy Major on the colours. And the person that did the lettering for the Runaways. Instead of all CAPS! I hate that about comics.

@k4tz: That part was just....no. I need to reread those crossovers though. They were two of very few decent company crossovers. As for writers, Tom DeFalco and Grant Morrison for the win. DeFalco + Morrison + SpiderMan + BatMan = WIN. ;D I would still like to see a crossover where Joker and Norman/Green Goblin team up against Bats and Spidey. Carnage and Joker made sense, since both are insane, homicidal maniacs, but Joker and Goblin would be cool too. BatMan and SpiderMan vs Joker and Green Goblin. I would like to see one with Lizard and Killer Croc, but Croc is just too incompetent for a crossover. So, that would probably fail as a concept. :-\ Dick and Peter teaming up as Nightwing and SpiderMan would be awesome. Both are of similar ages, have somewhat similar personalities, share a sense of humor in combat, share scientific intuition, share an acrobatic fighting style, etc. The two of them working together would be interesting. Have them fight Two-Face and Hammerhead or something. That would be good. ^_^

I love the fact that writing Morrison's full name changes it to God.

Joker and Green Goblin would certainly be a very interesting read if done properly. Killer Croc and Lizard, despite looking similar, really have nothing in common. Lizard is a massive powerhouse in comparison, lol. And Grayson and Parker could be fun. Parker's banter with other heroes is always a fun read when done well.
SM, that change was thanks to Morpheus LOL

Joker and Osborn are two of my all-time favorite villains. So that would be awesome.
Agreed. LOL.
That would be a good read.

I believe Constantine could theoretically seduce Diana if he truly put his mind to it. He's done worse.

I have always wanted to see Slade and Deadpool team up. Not just because they were originally going to be the main character but because they would be the Odd Couple of insanely good mercenaries. One's crazy as a loon, the other is somewhat less crazy, I smell a sitcom. I want them to have to do something trivial together like renting an apartment or something that ends up being of grave importance to the world.
