How about talking about writing? What are some stories you're currently working on? Any rough patches you need to smooth over? Searching for inspiration? Suffering from writer's block? Wanting to collab with someone here? Maybe you got this cool idea but don't know where to go with it? Whatever it is, from figuring out how to get published to just asking someone to critique your work, this thread is for you. I'm sure we can all bring something to the table.

I am currently working on a project called "Legere" which will slowly advance into its own universe once everything like the main story, the one-shots and all that start to come together.
It is completely custom aside from using real world locations or at least the cities are real. The purpose, of the main story at least, is a social allegory. Almost every character, situations, conversations...all of that will have symbolism and meaning under the surface. Essentially, I am examing human society through the lens of superhumans and vigilantes. Unlike mainstream comics, that follow the times with the times. This is a plotline, that is modern and develops with modern times but the person who may be the role in reality doesn't hold that symbolism - if that makes sense.
I am going to ask you guys to check it out and tell me what you think.

Gotta say, I'm intrigued by both. I'll look through and read for the sake of reading. Give some input here or there.
As for me, I'm working on two things, which sorta spawned off from the same general idea. I've been developing my universe for quite a while, and realized I've never had an apocalypse story. So I did. It hit earth, it was terrible, all hell broke loose, the whole nine yards. Then I got to thinking, outta all the apocalyptic lore, everything seems to be centered around earth. I notice that's a common trend with comics too. Everything's earth centered. Of course, there probably a number of reasons. Most things that involve other planets in the universe tend to be science fiction in nature, and while there have been some post-apocalyptic-esque things goin' on with that whole genre, nothing really quite screamed "God's bringing about the end of the world." So I'm figure, "let's do that." How would alien races feel spiritually or even religiously about the end? What's cool is that it's nice seeing that Pak's kinda doin' that with that Chaos War event, so I'm glad that I'm not completely in uncharted land.
Don't know if I'll post it here or not, I do know it won't be any time soon, because I'm kinda just starting with it, but I'm enjoying it. It's kinda fun putting in some research for this. I'm looking into some various religions about how they view the end times, and I'm looking into the different ways the universe could possibly end. Big Freeze, Big Crunch, all that stuff.

I'm working on a series of novels. It's an excruciatingly long process however because I keep starting over everytime I find something I don't like about what I wrote.

That's the wonders of the game. Revision. Keep at it until it's right, then edit it again to make sure.

So how did everyone get involved with this? I assume it had some ties to watching or reading something, or maybe not. Maybe that's just me.

I think my major problem with writing is that I sometimes find myself writing what I think I would do in that situation. Since my characters are not based on my personality, I end up having to scrap the work and approach it again only this time from the character's personality.
