Well to be fair,the destruction of talia and Ra's started in death and maidens ,2 years prior to damian being introduced.
and LOL i should have been more specific in my explanations.
its not really 2 decades but more like around 14 years,but 2 decades sound's better to me.

Well to be fair,the destruction of talia and Ra's started in death and maidens Death and the Maidens was a good read. It was a good death well enough executed. And Talia has always been a great character despite everything. But how Damian's introduction was in regards to characterization to both of them is abhorrent as was the execution. It didn't help afterward that his personality has very little appeal to me on any level. |

Really,they introduce this nyssa character who destroys talia's character , and to make it worse she also destroyed cass cain and they killed her off in the lamest way imaginable(car crash),
damian was actually according to morrison intended to be killed in that arc where he was introduced,i myself did'nt like it(i was like do we need this immature story telling?) but recent batman and robin,red robin,batgirl and teen titans have shown phenominal change and character development , which is more than i can say for the other rebel robin .(you know who?)

But her introduction and the writing and execution of death and the maidens wasn't. They should have kept her and used her as the new Demon's head at least for a while in my opinion instead of what they did do. damian was actually according to morrison intended to be killed in that arc where he was introduced He never should have been introduced like he did introduction or not. To even just imply that Talia would rape Bruce and that Ras would let that happen goes against everything established about them since the beginning. Whoever wrote that deserves a punch in the gut. Especially since we already had the non canon, son of the demon story whom made sense. They could have done it that way. Instead they shit on Ras and Talia. |

Oh you dont like the supposed rape? makes perfect sense and i agree,morrison claimed that he actually intended to use son of the demon but he had forgotten or something like that,he even apologized for it and said that he would downplay it(hence last rites had no mention of forced sex )
He decided to use the retcon punch(thank you johns) as an excuse,really the bateditorial seriously sucks.

Also death and maidens gave judd winick an opportunity to write a sex scene between talia and jason todd,but thankfully being the idiot that he is ,he completely messed up and made that scene happen around hush making me delightfully ignore it.

Well i guess rape had become a fashion in DC at that point(doctor light/sue dibny and nightwing/tarantula) ,
TBH ,the only reason i ignore it now cause morrison is one hell of a writer,a future great and almost everything i've read which he wrote was spectacular,he's trying to restore darkseid to his proper glory (i'll probably take the new gods over batman at this point since i know bats will be okay),the editorial actually does suck , they even greenlit the horrible widening gyre where bruce actually pissed in his pants out of fear.
morrison gave an apology , and i personally forgive him.
