Just curious, why do you guys think the environment helps Gambit? I believe it helps them equally, TBH. It's got enough cover for anyone to use, regardless of their agility, but is also confined enough so neither has the option to take the high ground or a stealth route. imo he could use them for cover and could charge parts of the environment to try to hit shocker or distract him I think charging anything in the environment would be difficult. The combat is fairly close, so it's unlikely Gambit would have time to charge any of the machines near the front (chairs and such). And a pillar would take too much time/energy from him, IMHO.

@k4tz: I see. Well, i could still see Gambit taking the majority even with morals on. Yes, he might not try to kill him but he is able to make the explosion non lethal but good enough to cause some damage. And Shocker has no way to counter any of his cards so eventually he should lose IMO. =]

It wouldn't happen frequently, but due to how much fighting will take place (limited environment), I could see it happening.

That's a good point but IMO, that will only make the battle last longer but i highly doubt it could give him the win. =]

k4tz has a point about the environment though. It may not play to Gambit's favor as much as I originally thought.

Bats wins the stealth-prep battle against Spidey. ;D (Spidey is still awesome with prep though, considering how few resources he has. So try not to feel bad. ) I still may say Shocker. If he plays this smart, he may simply destroy the entire area in Gambit's general direction, hopefully before Gambit can evade. Now, that would by no means be easy, but I think he could pull off something similar.

Silver, I think that would be tough, due to Gambit's agility and the close proximity of the cover from pillar to pillar. But I could see that happening... I could also see Shocker tagging Gambit as he moved from cover to cover, but I could also see Gambit throwing one hell of an offensive volley during his moves between cover.

@k4tz: I agree. It would be difficult and may not be a very effective tactic. But it is a possibility, regardless.
Shocker could just fire in two directions though, and while Gambit can dodge multiple bullets simultaneously without much real effort, Shocker should be able to shoot down at least some of Gambit's cards and fire back at him. Not sure how long Gambit can dance around the area while concurrently avoiding Shocker's blasts and counterattacking him.

It's important to note that Shocker was in a messed up mental state. This was when he was basically afraid of death and just broke out of jail. In another panel he says his reflexes aren't even what they used to be.
