I actually think it might be Reed Richards.

I'm reading Hickman's run from the beginning to gather clues. Time to play CSI.

Where's a good place to start reading Fantastic Four that is recent? Maybe something in the past couple years? Starting with the beginning of Millar's run would be a good starting point. It lays the groundwork for much of whats going on currently. His run starts in issue #554 and runs through issue #569. Its collected in a couple of lengthy trades. The current writer, Johnathan Hickman started on issue #570. Thanks jake, I'll try to check it out soon. What issue is F4 currently on?

@k4tz:
I think it will be Thing. He has already done the whole dead thing.

Killing off Reed would be the most daring move. He's the smartest man on the planet, the driving force of the F4 on every occasion where their raw power falls flat. Doom would have beaten the four through the dirt a hundred times over without him.
Somehow, I doubt that will happen, though.

I think if they tried to kill Sue, there would be a fan uproar.
@morph: Did they not do a whole Reed Richards dead thing a while back anyway? I thought that was why Sue went with the skimpy outfit for a while. She was back on the market after all lol.

LOL. I don't think he's ever been truly killed. Just M.I.A.

[/img] LOL. I don't think he's ever been truly killed. Just M.I.A. Oh I see. Did they not think he was dead though? Amazingly enough he was gone for nearly two years in real time. Probably only a few weeks in the Marvel time span. He "died" in issue 381 and returned in 407. Attachments:

IIRC Doom was also MIA at the same time.

IIRC Doom was also MIA at the same time. Yep, they both seemingly "perished" in 381 while battling a menace in Latveria. After disposing of the beast Richards offered his hand to assist Doom to his feet and both were apparently killed by Doom self destructing his armor. I think Doom returned in 406. In the meantime Sue started using her fabulous new costume.

Haha, just found those in my closet. I was mistaken about Sue's costume though. She began using it after absorbing the Malice persona during the FF Infinity War tie in.
