This is the official discussion for Abnett and Lanning's homage to H. P. Lovecraft. I've spend the whole day yesterday catching up to it, and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. What are your thoughts?
Warning, spoilers below possible

What are your thoughts? Warning, spoilers below possible Are you pleasantly surprised exclusively for the Imperative, or does the sentiment pertain the Guardians of the Galaxy?
And for good measure, fuck

One of the things I don't like is that the Magus got killed off to show off how powerful Lord Mar-Vell is. Later on we saw heroes of equal, or slightly higher power levels to the Magus engaging Mar-Vell and they lived to see another day. My only beef (despite liking LMV), is that he isn't as powerful as it was originally implied. Thanos cleaned his clock without any effort. That kind of makes his status as leader of the Cancerverse all the while there are things like the Galactus Engine (and based on the narrative, even more powerful creations behind the GE), a bit strange as a choice.

I figured the Lovecraftian horrors mentioned corrupting Marvel are the true power of the universe, with Marvel acting only as their field leader or something like that.

I'm also slightly disappointed that Drax got killed off, even thought I viewed it as payback for Annihilation # 4.
How do you think it will end?

I'm glad Drax got killed off wearing that fuckugly outfit.
I can figure three things happening: Thanos either becomes the death of the new universe, he remains alive and starts plotting revenge for not letting him die, or he dies. But I don't see the third one happening.

I'm glad Drax got killed off wearing that flarkugly outfit. I can figure three things happening: Thanos either becomes the death of the new universe, he remains alive and starts plotting revenge for not letting him die, or he dies. But I don't see the third one happening. For some reason I believe he will either die, or be presumed dead (like 350 flarking times in the past).

Lord Marvell is an interesting character... and it seems that Thanos is starting to get his groove back now...

Lord Marvell is an interesting character... and it seems that Thanos is starting to get his groove back now... It was inevitable...For he is Thanos.
