ATTENTION ALL SCENARIO BUILDERS AND MASS EFFECT FANS (Here's looking at you, Dane, Phantom, and Luna)
I want to make a Mass Effect scenario thread. The concept is simple. Each person hand picks their squad (just brainstorming, but a leader, pilot, engineer, firearms expert, tank, etc). Each class will obviously have their own unique restrictions to make matters fair and challenging. The squad, naturally lead by whoever they select as a leader, will now have to accomplish a series of key missions from the Mass Effect franchise, stemming from the first and second game. Each mission will be unique (to disarming bombs from saren, to finding relics, etc) and highly detailed. Naturally, we need to expand the number and variety of enemies in each scenario to make them beatable, but increasingly difficult.
It's also important to note the Ledger will not dictate how the team acts, but will instead dispute how the LEADER would direct the team, and how the team would respond.
So, who's in?

I'm in.
Just off the bat, how do you propose the pilot works? Is someone going to stay behind and pilot the Normandy? Because, unless we authorize orbital bombardment, that member is not going to have a whole lot to do...

I was thinking the same, but I just thought it would help personalize the team even further.

I guess the most difficult part will be re-creating some of the biggest missions from the games and translating them to this setting. I know I'd like to kick it off with the cliche bomb defusal mission from the first game. Long story short, team goes in to investigate, fight enemies unknown to them, defuse bombs and save any survivors. It'll be a pain getting images and such.

Wait, we're talking about the first mission here, right? Shouldn't be too hard to find the images, and even if Google fails, I still have the thing installed.

Yeah, that just seems like a good starting mission. What other key missions do you guys want to include?

Personally, I'd skip on the missions which involve plenty of Mako riding (Or just skip those parts, since apparently every important mission involves Mako riding.).

The 'Recruit Archangel' mission from ME2 would work pretty well. Gotta sneak into the apartments across the bridge then defend your position from enemy assault.

I enjoyed that one as well, Dane. Good suggestion.
Phantom, don't worry, there won't be any crap vehicle levels.

Are we gonna give them paragon/renegade choices for the mission? Like turn the robots against the mercs, stick power tool in that guy's back to weaken the gunship, etc.?

I was thinking about the option (letting the Ledger pick when they select their squad), but IMHO that might makes things too complex for them and force characters to act out of character. But if you guys wanna do that, I'm all for it.

You could restrict them to picking a team that fits with their hero/renegade options by having them declare which alignment they are at the start.

Or have their choices determined by choosing a hero or a villain. But I'm not a fan of the idea myself.

I like that idea. Paragon/renegade is determined by the leader, and in turn that opens up an alternative option in missions.

Whatever happened to this? It would have been awesome.
