A few of the staff members had a small discussion about the merits of the two movies and I thought it would be a fun topic to make for everyone to comment on. I am moving all the related posts over to this thread now.

To think I started all this just by saying I don't consider Terminator a proper Arnold movie...

Odd, I somehow managed to enjoy both of them...for the most part...
In terms of the entire franchise, I gotta rate T2 numero uno and the tv series close behind.

Jake, completely agreed that T2 is the definitive 'Terminator' experience.
However, I never gave the TV series a fair chance. I watched one episode with the gf and a few friends, none of us liked it and I haven't returned. I think Season One is on Netflix, so I'll likely give it another chance.

It is not the best show out there (actually, it is just average) but it has its charms.

The tv series was just fun to me. Terminators every week on the tube? I'm in.
When they cancelled it I stopped watching network tv. Send a young John Connor into the future and then cancel it on a cliffhanger? Fox is EEEEEVIL.

I was already not watching television by that time but I would turn the tube on just for the show. When it ended, I got back into my no tv routine.

T3 kind of felt like a What If? story and they had to get Connor back on the right path.
