I'm about half way through the series now, and I still have to watch the movie. I'll get back to this when the process is finished

The one I linked is more accurate to the official licensed maps. One of the licensed maps is included in your link (the top one) but the one posted is too small and at an angle that makes RPG use a poor choice. So for now, we will use the one I already linked. It is missing a few planets though, likely an accident but until I get the licensed maps, it will suffice.

You made a firefly RPG that is so epic! Well, not yet anyway. I just wanted to see how much interest there was for it and set one up if there were enough. So far, their seems enough interest at least to get one started. I think it could eventually open up into multiple ships, stations and worlds if we can get it going though.

Lets just hope it lasts longer than the series lol

Oh if we get it going, I will make sure it lasts. If I have to turn the gorram thing into a fan fiction until it picks back up again, I will do it.

I am still pondering what sort of character I want to run.

I have now finished watching the series and Serenity.
Freakin loved it all.
But really? Wash and Book? They had nine potential characters to kill off, and they had to pick my two favorites. D**n it.

The killing of Book in the movie, was the one thing I really hated. I didn't like Wash dying either but I could live with that because he got to die well. I'm a leaf on the wind - BULL$%#t

@power: If you are going to swear, get used to chinese. Ta Ma De! So that was Chinese they were swearing in all the time? I never picked that up. I just thought it was some kind of alien/future language.

I just thought it was some kind of alien/future language. Oh. Yeah Whedon's idea for the future was that the US and China became the super countries beyond super countries and were the major populations that made it to this new solar system and became fused into one culture in the process. That is why people mostly use English unless they have something they want to emphasize or stress. Those things are said in Chinese, including swearing. They do also swear in English with words like gorram (which is the evolved God damn), damn, shit and the like. But when they really want to drive home the intensity of a swear, they do it in Chinese. It is also why their commercials are in Chinese.

I just looked up translations of the swears from Firefly. They're hilarious!

I do not expect the people of the RPG to look up Chinese translations to participate, though going the extra mile would be awesome.
If people want to say the Chinese stuff, we will just do like Marvel does and put '<>' around the sentence we want and assume it is always Chinese unless said otherwise. So for example, if I want to say Damn it! in Chinese, I will do it like this:
<Damn it!>
But if I want to say the same thing in say, Russian, I will do like so:
<Damn it!> (translated from Russian)

Oh, ok.
<Explosive diarrhea of an elephant!> (translated from Chinese)
Apparently, that's the translation of one of the explatives somebody used on the show. XD

XD Everything is perfect only once our RPG launches, we will not be needed the parentheses explanation for Chinese. Only for other languages because Chinese is the one that everyone knows they should be able to understand. When you say things in German or Russian, some characters will not know those languages so you will need to say what language they are so users know to play dumb or whatever. No need for the Chinese though.

So the way you say it in Chinese is:
<Explosive diarrhea of an elephant!>
While if you wanted to say the same thing in German, you would arrange it like so:
<Explosive diarrhea of an elephant!> (translated from German)
