I don't know why I did this to myself but because i've had this argument elsewhere I thought I'd bring it here and see if we are all on the same page. We are all aware that Hercules has lifted both the sky and the Earth correct? Are we all in agreement those aren't actual depictions of Hercules' strength or does anyone actually believe that the writers were trying to tell us that Hercules can actually do this despite the many showings that contradict it and neither instance making any sense?

Lol I only use that feat when I am trolling. You cannot measure the weight of the universe when magical properties are used to hold it up from Earth.

Well Atlas who has held it up is said to have infinite strength. There isn't anything he couldn't lift according to his handbook page. However we've seen Hercules have to actually exert himself lifting or moving things on earth...yet there are people who believe he can somehow lift the earth itself..

Yeah, we're on page. For what it's worth, I think lifting the sky and lifting the Earth are mutually exclusive. The sky should retcon the Earth.

I see it as a "yeah, this is the same Hercules from the myth even though it really isn't." Yeah, it happened. Yeah, they want you to believe it happened. Yeah, it's supposed to reaffirm to the reader it's the same dude, but no that's not something that Marvel's Herc can actually do.

Not that it matters because the feat cannot be measured anyway.
