JSA has been made of win ever since Johns took over the title all those years ago. Main JSA has been a let down recently because Willingham is a hack, But All Stars is still a ton of fun imo.

I lost touch with it when Johns left. I do like Willingham, I'm just reading other things when I can.

I'm not a fan of the All Stars... /Bans HighballIMO Sturges is doing a much better job than Willingham. Willingham's writing is sub par as far as I've read.

I've now finished my pages on 6 of the original 8 JSAers. (a little still to do on Spectre). I am however ill equipped to be the one to do the Hawkman page. Never really been a fan of the character, and while I could fill inn the basics of the GA version I'm not in the least familiar with the retcons done that incorporate Katar with Carter. If someone more informed could do that page that would be great. I'll start with the latter part of the JSA story and additional members pages soon.

When you get to more current members, I can help. Until then, I'm afraid I'm useless.

JSA has been made of win ever since Johns took over the title all those years ago. Main JSA has been a let down recently because Willingham is a hack, But All Stars is still a ton of fun imo. And it now looks as if the downhill slide continues. Just got issues 43, and 44 and I can't say I'm happy. As an Alan Scot fanboy, i wasn't all that pleased with the revelations in 43. So now their completely turning 360 degrees on the end of Sentinel days. They had established at the end of that that Alan was the "green Flame" (the good magic that was collected with the starheart but broke away) not the actual starheart. He corrected people often enough on the distinction (like in his battle against Mordru in the early issues of JSA). Now he's the Starheart again. On the one hand that means more actual power at his disposal, on the other it's a power down since now he has to (apparently) maintain a certain level of focus and will on containing and controlling teh starheart (for the sake of all). All that being said how can the JSA (or for that matter he himself) just let himself be taken out (almost dead) the very next issue. Did Guggenheim even read Robinson's issue, does Carlin even come to work. I mean seriously HOW BAD can the writing get. Is it asking so much for a little consistency. I LOVE THIS TEAM AND IT'S GETTING TO THE POINT WHERE EVEN I DON'T WANT TO READ IT. If they continue to screw around and make such inconsistent representations of (IMHO) some of the greatest characters in comics they going to seriously damage the franchise. I've been a diehard JSA fan for over 30 years (and yes I've still bought/collected the odd bit of crap featuring the JSA) but even I can't bare to read this much longer if it continues in this vein. RANT OFFICIALLY OVER

I love the JSA but I agree that the book hasn't been the same since Johns left. How is the book since the new creative team started? Didn't like the previous one, Sturges and Willingham

Didn't like the previous one, Sturges and Willingham I'd have to say from 44 the jury is still out, but not looking good IMO. Robinsons issues during (and just after) the JLA cross over were acceptable (just) but yeah I REALLY MISS JOHNS on this book. Far too inconsistent.

I wish some on the JSA members would get their own solo actually. Or the return of something like JSA classified or a JSA "spotlight on" would be great. A regular title featuring the rotating solo adventures of the JSA.
