LMFAO.
Just watched a reporter pkg. Apparently this debate is "even."
AGAINST RELEASING: -Will anger many, lead to more attacks, thus killing more people. -Flat out disrespectful.
FOR RELEASING: -If they don't, people might make up conspiracies!

So, they release pictures of everyone else killed in the house but not Bin Laden? I fail to see the logic behind that.

I would like to see the picturee... but I think that the president is being precocious... and wisely so.... it has been stated by alquada and many governments that they have a rough nuke... and they have threatened to detonate it upon Usamas death... They are very concerned right now... and I don't think they want to escalate the situation even more then they have to.... there will be retaliation... lets just hope everyone is wrong about the nuke.

Honestly, I don't see the need to post the images, but at the same time it's not like NOT posting them will have them take a break from wanting us dead, lol.
Where were these rough nuke remarks?

There are too many people involved to keep this quiet if it was a conspiracy. Either way it doens't make a difference though. Osama hasn't been a major factor in years.

With DNA evidence and identification from the widow, thats more than enough evidence to prove it.
Do I agree with the President not releasing the photos? I'm bit more iffy on that. Depending how they look, they could be used as recruit tools for terrorism or as a method to rial them up. But to be fair, it's not like it's really going to change the fact that these people want to kill us anyways. I liked what Jon Stewart suggested by having a bunch of reported check out the pictures for some confirmation, but meh don't care that much.
Do I think this will stop conspiracy craving lunatics that are out to get Barack Obama? God no.
Long story short, they have DNA evidence / confirmation and visual confirmation from someone that knows him. Theres no doubt in my mind he is dead.

The idea that Osama's not dead, or at the very least in goddamn serious captivity by America is kind of crazy. I mean - if he wasn't dead or they didn't have him, it'd be extremely easy to make the US government look like absolute morons.
That being said, it is all a bit convenient, but whatever. I'm not making any conspiracy theories and sometimes optimism is fun.

This whole thing further proves people don't understand how terrorism works and are morons.

Al Qaeda today stated he's dead and pulled the whole "we'll get you!" act.

Al Qaeda today stated he's dead and pulled the whole "we'll get you!" act. no surprise there, not that Al-Quaeda is anything like most people think it is.

Well, most people see Al-Qaeda like terrorist in movies are shown. When in truth Al-Quaeda is part of a much larger system and only a fraction of what allows it to exist has any semblance to what people believe sums up the organization.
Ossama's death is relatively meaningless in the larger problem for example.

The majority of people know Osama's death will not hinder the group at all. I don't believe anyone with half a brain believes otherwise.

You'd be surprised, but it's beside my point that most (not talking about you or anyone on this board) have no idea how terrorism or Al-Qaeda in particular work.
I just wanted to finish by reminding the part about the meaninglessness of his death.

@crom Well, al-Qaeda was founded by Osama so I'd say his death is fairly significant. Even if you don't think that's significant (moot point), the information on his computers probably has everything you could ever want to know.
Also, militant religious terrorists can't really be misconstrued. I don't see how "most people" are wrong about that.

@crom Well, al-Qaeda was founded by Osama . not true. so I'd say his death is fairly significant. It isn't significant. the information on his computers probably has everything you could ever want to know. You really have no idea how terrorists operate right? Also, militant religious terrorists can't really be misconstrued. I don't see how "most people" are wrong about that. This is so untrue on so many levels.
