T'Challa and Sergei Kravinoff face off for the first time in Marvel history, but is the showdown in Hell's Kitchen worth your time? If you're a fan of either character, the simple answer is yes. Otherwise, it's by no means a must read. Saying it's not a 'must read' is hardly an insult to the quality of this two part adventure. It's highly entertaining and a fun story, but if you're not interested in either character to begin with, this isn't exactly the ideal starting point. The premise of this story is simple. T'Challa is searching for Brian, a man who was previously lobotomized and given super-powers by the evil Dr. Holman. T'Challa wants to save Brian, but as expected, Dr. Holman wants her experiment back. The story reveals that Kraven is in her debt for previous help, so she calls upon the Spider-Man foe to track down and return Brian. And if it's not too much of a task, to also kill the brand new man without fear. From here, we're treated to what is essentially an action-packed chase scene for the course of the two issues. First and foremost, I need to give credit where it's due. I believe writer David Liss did an excellent job with both Kraven and Black Panther. As a huge fan of Kraven, I can assure you he's given proper justice. He's displayed as a man bound by honor and a focused hunter. Meanwhile, Liss gives T'Challa the level of intelligence he deserves. Not a page passes where's it's more than evident T'Challa is one of the brightest characters Marvel has to offer. When asked if he had a back-up plan, I loved his remark "I have plans A through H." As the cover reveals, T'Challa's wife, Storm, makes a cameo. To be brutally honest, this feels more like a forced instead of organic appearance. The justification for her arrival is that cell phone videos of the duo fighting went viral, caught her attention, and Pixie teleported her from San Francisco. Personally, I think the X-Men have more important matters than checking out the latest youtube videos, but it's really a minor complaint at best. That said, I couldn't help but feel like Storm was rather passive in nature during conversations with her husband and a little downplayed during the action sequences. Her role just appeared to be limited to saving T'Challa and reminding readers the two are indeed still married. Artist Jefte Palo and colorist Jean-Francois Beaulieu do a remarkable job giving this book both a unique and gritty look. It's a perfect match for the tone of the story and an absolute pleasure to read as Kraven and Black Panther fight across New York's rooftops and even the George Washington Bridge. If you're a big fan of T'Challa or Sergei, "Storm Hunter" is definitely worth checking out. But if neither character interests you all that much, I'm sure there will be a better pick-up point later in this title for new readers. 7.5/10

Also, every single cover shows BP with those claws on his hands yet, in the actual issue he doesn't have them.

I get aggravated about that ckal because he looks so much cooler on the covers then in the comics imo.

I can live without the claws on his hands. After all, he's carrying about a million bladed weapons on him in the comics!

Well the cover art is just so much better than the interior in general. That's what annoys me most about it.

Well, if you had time to work on one cover or the interior of an entire comic, which do you think would likely look better? lol

If you're a big fan of that art, ckal, it's by Simone Bianchi & Simone Peruzzi. I know Bianchi has been on plenty of on-goings.

The interior artist Francavilla is just not good. Plenty of interior artists are fantastic. Of course it's not true in all cases, but in the end it's a matter of personal preference. Just like you saying the interior is 'not good.' It's a matter of opinion and I happened to enjoy the interior art for this story.
