Morph from on high has given me awesome news: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=33234Personally, this is one of those rare announcements in the american comics media that really has me giddy with excitement. Tom Judge is one of my favorite top cow characters. I loved reading his mini series, and thought I was sad on how he was killed in Witchblade. I like what they are doing with him in Artifacts. The rapture is a cool artifact and Judge himself is a character I always saw as having so much untapped potential. So there it is people opinions? hopes? wants? DISCUSS NOW!

Pretty excited about this, too. Besides the obvious fact that Marz really can't go wrong when it comes to his Top Cow writing, Judge is a visually compelling character when done right. And Sejic drawing him on a regular basis will be an unbelievable treat, as shown by that very teaser.

In my opinion, this ongoing is a great opportunity for Top Cow if they so choose to take it. We only have bare bone details on how Hell, the outer planes and it's various denizens work in the Top Cow universe. This is a great opportunity to develop well a mysterious part of the Top Cow cosmology.

Judge in general has great potential. He could very well be Top Cow's "Ghost Rider" if they choose him to be. The fact that they assigned such a creative team to the character is a sign that they indeed wish to elevate his status and turn him into a hit character like the Darkness, and Witchblade. Let's hope that works out well. It's obviously too early to tell, but I doubt the book will lack in quality. It's just a matter of reader response, and no delays on Top Cow's part. It's their only true flaw.

Yeah Top Cow is horrible with it's schedule. Personally I've seen him less as the potential "Ghost Rider" and more like something in between Constantine and Phantom stranger as his potential role
I know Marz and Sejic can pull it off. I'm just hopping they take every opportunity this ongoing offers.

Constantine works well with the overall attitude of the character. He resembles Ghost Rider to me due to the monstrous way his power manifests, and his ability to judge who is to be condemned, and who isn't (reminiscent of Ghost Rider punishing the guilty but not harming the innocent).

true, I like his look. Suitably horrible for a Hell powered artifact. Plus an ongoing will allow us to see the Conductor again. More bonus points!

I hope they remember him. He was a formidable foil.

I don't see how they could even forget him. He's even mentioned in Artifacts as the one who gave Tom his ticket out of Hell. It's never been entirely clear however if he's God or just one of God's employees.

I've missed the past two issues of Artifacts. The delays in general make it difficult for me to remember what went on in the previous issue, seeing that it usually takes 3 months for the next to ship in, so I just wait for 2-3 issues to be published before going back to reading it.

Ah I see. I only buy trades so I have the first trades (issues 0-4) waiting for the second trade (already supposed to be out but it is late)
Tom Judge mentions him when he talks to the Curator, then again when they meet in the church and Tom Judge gives some insight as to what the fuck is going on.
And he reveals that either Sarah or Jackie are going to fuck things up in a very bad way.

I think I'll just go back and reread it from the beginning once the newest issue comes out. Significant details already slip my mind.

If this is what TC has in store for us after Artifacts I'm hoping to see more like it.

I'm making a prediction for Next Artifacts, Jackie wakes up next to Sara in Mexico and the first words he says is "Oh my God, I'm not Dead." That would be soo dope.

And what's cool is that it's an actual ongoing instead of just a mini. I'm ultra excited.
