My mistake, isn't he the director for the new Daredevil? Yes, David Slade, the director of 30 Days of Night and Twilight: Eclipse is directing Daredevil.

#1. Thirty Days of Night is fucking awesome. #2. Besides X-Men, X2, First Class, The first Two Spider-man movies and Punisher (2004) there isn't a movie worth wasting your time watching on that entire list. Ehh maybe the Blade movies. #3. That said First Class was amazing and honestly is my 3rd favorite comic movie of all time right behind TDK and Captain America. #4. I think Daredevil has a lot of potential done right, the FF not so much. I'd love to see a Nolan-esque Daredevil

Odd how much better First Class was then the first 3 X-men movies. They aren't even comparable.

First class was better than every other movie on that list, like i said it's my 3rd favorite of all time. it had me emotionally invested. It may not have had the best fight scenes or powers, but it was a powerful performance by the leads and a well-written script I believe.

Luna, completely agreed about XM:FC. I really wasn't expecting it to be nearly as good as it was.

Quite true, but just for the sake of basic accuracy, they could have come up with something better.
I wouldn't mind if they turned Apoc into a regular human (even though I'm sure it would have caused protestations). They already took many liberties with the source material (didn't mind them doing it since the result was that good), and had some controversial inclusions (freaking Azazel from Chuck Austen's UXM run appeared).
Nah, Shaw simply absorbs kinetic energy in the comics. In the film, he could absorb and redirect energy in a variety of ways I've never seen him utilize in the comics. He was too much of a powerhouse in the film.
Magneto is one of the most powerful mutants around (reality warpers notwithstanding), so it stands to reason his powers will get downplayed a whole lot in comparison to his comic book counterpart to make the film workable. He could basically end every threat by shutting down people's brains or manipulating the iron in their blood, but that would be poor sport. Also, since this is a reboot/prequel, Mags was a lot younger and much less experienced in the use of his powers. If there ever comes a XMFC sequel, I should hope they will expand upon his powerset.
