Discuss Marvel movies that were made by other studios here.
For example:
Fox: X-Men 1,2,3, First Class, Wolverine, Fantastic Four 1 and 2, Daredevil, Elektra Sony: Ghost Rider 1 and 2 (Jan 2012), Spider-Man 1, 2, 3, Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Universal: Hulk Lionsgate/Artisan: The Punisher, Punisher: War Zone New Line: Blade1, 2, Trinity

IMHO these movies need to step up their game, because the competition Marvel Studios has been providing is absolutely dominating them. Hopefully, their decision to re-boot franchises (Daredevil, F4) means they're actually going to focus on turning them into LEGITIMATE franchises (capable of stemming sequels audiences actually want...unlike Ghost Rider, wtf?), and not a cheap way to gain a few bucks with a mediocre movie.
When it's all said and done, X-Men: First Class is EASILY the best non-Marvel Studio movie, imho.

X-Men: Roller coaster ride of good to great to fail then back up to great.
Fantastic Four: The quality of the two movies can kind of be described like skydiving without a parachute... Hmmm, yes.
Daredevil: Ba ha ha ha ha!
Elektra: Never saw it but I never have heard anything good about it.
Ghost Rider: Kind of like watching a teen television drama with fire.
Spider-Man: Good to great to fail.... Still waiting for the next movie.
Hulk: I liked it. I do not care what you say about the CGI, Bana is boss.
Punisher: Not so good. I found it to be embarrassingly funny when it was trying to be serious and flat when it was trying to be funny.

Which? There were 3 movies.

I was talking about the 2004 movie because it just said Punisher and it has no ties to War Zone.

And the 89 Punisher counts just as much as the 90s Captain America and the 98 Nick Fury.

Ah, the one with Thomas Jane. I thought that movie was decent popcorn entertainment, while War Zone was just stupid, violent fun. The 80s movie....Well, I was too young to remember how epic of a job Drago did.
Yes, the Russian from Rocky was Frank Castle.

Blade should be listed. In fact, the OP should be edited to have a list of all the movies.

If I forgot any let me know.
Also, I don't feel the necessity to even include those pre-Blade B movies in this discussion.

The only X-Men movie I liked was First Class.
Fassbender is a boss.

Question of the century: Why dd they green light a sequel for Ghost Rider?

I think you already summarized that above, good katz. It would seem that Sony is purely making it in an attempt to grab some easy cash. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense though because Ghost Rider doesn't make much money. So maybe they are just stupid. Or greedy, and don't want Marvel Studios to have it back. It couldn't possibly be that they think they could actually make a good Ghost Rider movie ... JUST LIKE FOX STUDIOS. Those assholes will hold onto their fail properties until the end of time because they can make some easy cash with a shit movie then wait 7 years and reboot it. Either that or they just don't want Marvel Studios to have them.

Definitely a greedy move, but I'm hoping Fox at least brings their A game when they try to give new life to the franchises (DD/F4). Hopefully, seeing one of their comic book movies review well (XM:FC) gave them a bit of motivation. It's a shame FC wasn't a bigger hit at the box office.

Yeah but Fox only has themselves to blame for it not doing better. People have had a huge turn off to X-properties after X3 and especially Wolverine, so it is not surprising. Also, by far the biggest draw of the x-movies was Wolverine, who was not present (aside from a little known cameo) in the movie. So overall, not too surprised.

Of course. I'm by no means trying to justify them (despite being connected to the people who sign off on my paycheck...), just saying I hope X-Men: First Class has opened their eyes and made they realize "Hey, we can produce a GOOD comic book movie?" instead of going back to...Well, the crap they've been creating.

So, the guy behind 30 Days of Night is the director for 'The Wolverine?'

My mistake, isn't he the director for the new Daredevil?

All those guys just need to sell the rights to those characters back to Marvel and let them put together a Secret Wars movie.

I should hope not, Secret Wars was terrible.
