Is Luke equal to what Anakin would have been? Luke surpassed Anakin. I don't give a crap what Lucas says. Also, why does Starkiller\Galen Marek suck so much? Because fanboys make him out to be something he's not, because the entire Force Unleashed spits on continuity, etc. Thrawn or Xizor: Who do you prefer as a character, and who do you consider a better strategist? Favorite Sinestro Corps member excluding Sinestro? Favorite Justice League story arc? Thrawn, to both questions. Hm.... Arkillo, perhaps. I don't know. I haven't read many JLA arcs, and the ones I did didn't really impress me.

I think he's asking if Luke equaled what Anakin would have been had he lived and achieved his full potential, not the level he was at during his actual lifetime. In which case, it's purely theoretical given that Anakin never reached said potential.
Onwards to my question. Top 5 EU works?

Actually, Vader speculated that Luke's Force potential was greater than Anakin's. --Taken from Shadows of the EmpireI don't know. I haven't read many JLA arcs, and the ones I did didn't really impress me. I could recommend some for you if you are interested. There are several very good JLA arcs. Favorite superhero team?

Interesting, but there is a "perhaps" in there, which makes it rather ambiguous, and it's still Vader's opinion (not saying it's not worth it, but characters occasionally do say things that aren't exactly true).
Also, I hate that I've read the comic book adaptation of SotE and that isn't mentioned. -_-

Of course. I tend not to take character statements at face value either. But given that Luke has been established as having greater Force potential than Palpatine, just as Anakin did, it is a possibility he was somewhat greater than his father could have been. Also, Vader should understand what his own potential was. So it may not be absolutely conclusive but very possible still. Also, I hate that I've read the comic book adaptation of SotE and that isn't mentioned. -_- LOL. The comic is good because about half of it focuses on Boba, while the novel almost completely about Luke, Leia, and Xizor (and with Luke and Leia were Lando, Dash, and Chewbacca). Boba is hardly in the novel at all, really.

I agree, it's certainly indicative.
I enjoyed the focus on Boba, but Xizor didn't pass unnoticed, either. Quite the ingenious rascal.

Well, it's impossible to say, since we don't know what he would be like. Hmm.... hard to say. I simply can't say them in order, but these would be the top 5: KOTOR Tales of the Jedi Thrawn Trilogy Legacy of the Force Republic If you mean single works and not whole series.... I can't do that! Sure. I wouldn't mind a good JLA comic. Also, I had heard Sandman (Daniel) appeared in an arc; which arc was that? The X-Men.

Sure. I wouldn't mind a good JLA comic. Also, I had heard Sandman (Daniel) appeared in an arc; which arc was that? The X-Men. It was in JLA #22 and 23. You should read Morrison's entire run in JLA vol. 3. He wrote most of the first 41 issues (a couple other writes, such as Mark Waid and Mark Millar, wrote a few imbetween, IIRC). Waid's run after that was good as well, which spanned from #43 to 58. A few other standalone arcs: A Midsummer's Nightmare (this should be read before that JLA volume is started), Heaven's Ladder, Superpower, and Incarnations. There are good stories from the previous volume but not as good. The fourth volume is lackluster in my opinion, but I have not read all of it.

Do, or do not. There is no try! .... gah... Alright. KOTOR LotF Sacrifice Darth Bane: Path of Destruction Heir to the Empire Republic: Into the Unknown (which continues into Dark Times: Path to Nowhere. I kinda consider them the same arc. Republic and DT are kind of the same series, in a sense. Dark Times #1 is sometimes referred to as #84, after all)

Top 3 favorite Marvel villains? No order: Sinister Bastion Bullseye As you know, I don't consider Magneto a villain. If I did, he'd be there. ;D

Thanks.
I liked all of Republic, but I can't say the same for Dark Times. Much more uneven in terms of quality.

Thanks.I liked all of Republic, but I can't say the same for Dark Times. Much more uneven in terms of quality. The problem is, they're not focusing on what we want to see in the DARK TIMES. I don't know about you, but when I see that, I think of the Empire raining down on planets and Vader hunting down Jedi. It's too focused on smugglers and pirates, for me.

1. Have you ever read Empire? 2. Worst movie you ever saw? 3. How old are you? 4. Why do you like Karen Traviss? 5. What is currently on your reading list for the EU? 6. How long have you been fencing? 1. Not yet. I want to, just haven't gotten around to it. Same with Rebellion. 2. Not sure. Might be 03 Hulk. 3. Heh heh, interesting question. I have absolutely no reason not to say, but... well I do have a reason: it's more fun to keep people guessing. I like to maintain an air of mystery. Why? What's your guess? 4. First read her work in LotF. I really enjoyed it, particularly because I always liked Mandalorians. It went more in depth and didn't treat Mandalorians like the bad guys, which I never really saw them as. I liked Canderous, I liked the Fetts, etc. I read RC earlier this year. Also, I always liked things related to the military, and her style focuses strongly on the military. 5. Two years as of.... I think the end of September. Or the beginning of October. I don't like that a cyborg with no Force powers can beat Jedi at their own game. Just having skills with a lightsaber mean nothing without the Force at your back. PROXY makes more sense to me, since he fakes it with repulsers. HK-47 utilizes traps and sonic weaponry, similar to Boba. So he makes sense as well. But Grievous... he just annoys me. Ok so this one has bugged me for ages.Is your personality online the same as real life? Yup. No, seriously, it is. I am known for my rather serious demeanor in real life.

3. Heh heh, interesting question. I have absolutely no reason not to say, but... well I do have a reason: it's more fun to keep people guessing. I like to maintain an air of mystery. Why? What's your guess? Not sure to be honest. Sometimes, you hardly sound older than I am. Other times, you do. This probably has to do with your usually calm disposition. I see. I concur that Traviss has an aptitude for writing Mandalorians more intriguingly than the majority of other EU writers. My problem with her arises in how she writes Force sensitives. She is utterly devoid of understanding pertaining to the concept of the Force and Jedi/Sith differentials, which causes out of character issues. As well, she seems to lowball Force sensitives at times to portray the Mandalorians as more impressive than they are. Then there is her admission of the fact that she never conducts research before writing a book. Have you ever read The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader or The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi or any of the other related books?
