Writer: Reginald Hudlin Artist: Denys Cowan The Story:In this story, Captain America and The Howling Commandos team up with the Black Panther during WW2. The Nazis are after Wakanda's vibranium and have assembled a team of dastardly villains to get the job done. Their team includes Armless Tiger-Man, White Gorilla (Man Ape), Master Man & Warrior Woman. They are led by the Red Skull and Baron von Strucker. After a string of defeats at the hands of Captain America, Hitler has ordered Baron von Strucker and the Red Skull to capture Wakanda's vibranium so the Nazis can build the perfect missile. Their mission takes them to Africa where they clash with not only the Wakandans but Captain America and the Howling Commandos. Thoughts:There's a good supply of action in this one. Cap and the Black Panther face off and the fight is a pretty decent one. Both men compliment each other on their fighting skill and walk away with a great respect for each other. Another thing this issue touches on is the absolute hatred the Nazis had for anyone who didn't fit their idea of the Aryan race. There are several examples of that in this 4 issue series and its handled well by the writer. The Art:The art is stylized and a bit grainy. It's pretty good and captures the campy feel of this WW2 story. Overall:I got this for $5 bucks so I can't really complain. It's a good story and fits in well with the feel of the recent movie. It's a limited series so it doesn't really advance into anything important in the grand scheme of things. 6.5/10

$5? Nice.
I've only seen scans of the scene where Tiger Man claws apart/bites cannon fodder characters. Does he do anythin else in the run?

He leaps into a room of captive Wakandans and bites off one of their ears. he then proceeds to devour the poor guy.
During the invasion off panel, he slaughters a group of Wakandan soldiers. Later he comes out of the room apparently having killed another group of them. T'Chaka tries to take him down but OATM knocks him nearly unconscious with a kick. Later on he's holding T'Chaka with one of his feet when a member of the Howling Commandos shoots him.
