Writer Geoff Johns Art: Jim Lee The Story:We pick up right where we left off last issue. GL and Batman are getting trashed by Superman. Eventually it gets so bad that Hal calls in Barry Allen for reinforcements. After having his way for a few minutes Supes eventually gets the better of him as well. They finally come to a temporary armistice and decide not to kill each other. They agree to team up and figure out what is exactly going on with the mysterious boxes (Mother Boxes?) that have been discovered in different places on Earth. We also see developments in Cyborg's personal life and his evolution into a super hero. The Good:The art is great but that's a given. It's interesting getting to see the "first meeting" all over again in the revamped universe. I also like the pacing of the story as we've still only seen 4 of the first League members. The Bad:Some of the dialogue is just ridiculous. Especially the banter between Hal & Barry. It's almost child like in a few places and one notable bit is downright insulting. I'm not sure if Johns was trying to be funny but it failed. Overall:This is still a fun book but some of the dialogue and interactions need to improve. Certain points left me shaking my head and I'm usually pretty laid back and forgiving about such matters. 3/5

Anyways, I actually meant I enjoyed the pace at which the characters are being introduced. The story itself is pretty slow.

Not introducing all the characters by this point is a mark of how slow the story is.
It may come as a surprise but better writers are able to introduce entire teams in one issue and don't put characters on the cover that aren't in the comic.

No one is saying this book is providing amazing story telling, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find it highly entertaining and damn good to look at.
