Writers: Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning Artist: Renato Arlem Colorist: Jay Ramos The StoryFirst and foremost, if you're buying this for the villains then I'd wait for the next issue. This issue is strictly to introduce the plot and background for the upcoming series. This one stars Heroes For Hire regulars Misty Knight, Silver Sable & Paladin. The guest stars in this one are Black Panther, Daimon Hellstorm and a new villainess, Stilt-Woman. This isn't a bad issue but it's sole purpose is to introduce the new Heroes For Hire concept (a rotating cast every issue) and the mini's villain. We see the villain at the very end of the issue and if you've read the solicits then you know who it is. The Art:It's solid in places but a little bit iffy in others. The artist does draw a good T'Challa though. Another thing he seems to focus on is Misty's derriere and Silver Sable's chest. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it just seemed to jump out at me. Overall:This isn't a bad issue and it gets the point across of the new series. The players are set and I expect it to be pretty decent. You can definitely give this one a pass and begin with the first issue of the new book. I'm a fan of the characters involved so it was worth the $2.99 for me. Story: 2.5/5 Art: 3/5 Overall: 3/5

It seems like it's okay for me to skip this and just begin with VfH #1, right?

It seems like it's okay for me to skip this and just begin with VfH #1, right? Probably so. This one is just a refresher course for HFH and sets up the series. The Lady Stilt-Woman here was actually semi-impressive.
