So Bruce was inches from suicide until a bat crashed through his window with unrealistic force?

Wait... What the hell? One second Bruce is talking about Batman Inc., the next they act as though they presented some damning evidence against that board member. WTF?

So Bruce was inches from suicide until a bat crashed through his window with unrealistic force? It's supposedly a scene from Batman Year One. I've never read it though.

I prefer the original because that is not Bruce at all but Superman disguised as Bruce.

Though the suicide seems extremely out of place with... everything about Batman. In fact, the new origins don't really support the notion of attempted suicide either.

LOL, in the one I posted the bat crashes thru the window but in the next panel it doesn't appear to be broken.

Maybe the bat is a spirit and Batman is just the instrument of bat-justice. Kind of like Punisher is the instrument of douche-baggery.
