Maybe the items, designer, first appearance, etc?
For example: Boom Tube, designed by Desaad in JLA #235.

I think there would be little point in it if I didn't include that.

I'm kinda busy these days but I could start a preliminary catalog with some basic stuff straight away. You guys have any specifics you'd like to see about the list? I am interested in just about all of that stuff since I know only the basics. Maybe start with the popular stuff first?

I was thinking about covering the more well known things first and then filling the list up alphabetically with the more obscure stuff.

Yeah, the Hush tube is exactly what it sounds like. A tube which only lets out a small 'hush' sound when open instead of a BOOM. It's also cloaked in smoke and shadow rather than being an explosion of light. To my knowledge it was used only once by Dr. Impossible in Brad Meltzer's Justice League and never heard of again. Dr. Impossible was some evil copy of Mr. Miracle, I think he was a guy who raided a NG tech vault or something. I don't know, he was in James Robinson's Justice League but by then it was so bad I really couldn't read it. Doom tube was used by Desaad when he harnessed Highfather's power in the infamous (But actually pretty good) Darkseid-falls-down-stairs story. Desaad used it to send Superman beyond the universe, directly into the Source where he could never come back from. Metron's thingy was the Worlogog. A thread about NG tech and applications eh? We could do that. A lot's gathered up over the years but I don't think it would take too long to catalog it all. Ah so that was the hush tube, the portal that paved the way for Omega man, underwhelming.I was thinking of Simonsons Orion and Seven Soldiers cause they're the stories that introduced the father box.Still as bland and mediocre as Robinson's work tends to be his handle of the NG is better than most in DC. Worlogog/Rock of the ages thanks for the reminder.

The Father Box in Seven Soldiers is notably different from the Father Box in Orion. I think I'll have to put two different entries for it.

So there are Mother Boxes (very popular since I've heard of them) and Father Boxes?

I would also really like a Who's Who for Apokolips/New Genesis. I'm familiar with some of the more famous residents but the not so famous ones would be cool too.

There's Mother Boxes, Father Boxes and one lone appearance of an Ancestor Box in Final Crisis.

There's Mother Boxes, Father Boxes and one lone appearance of an Ancestor Box in Final Crisis. Technically the ancestor box appeared in Batman #702.
