To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by Dr. Octopus. I had been hoping for a little less "simple scientist driven mad by the machine on his back" and a little more "egotistical fat guy who sees everyone else as inferior scum". The former is a much more realistic, dynamic character IMO. Agreed. It made his character three-dimensional.

Agreed. It made his character three-dimensional. I know I'm right Rosie actually made you feel for him, IMO. That's why I didn't like him much. Who wants to see Spider-Man punching the lights out of a man who just lost his wife, and isn't really in control of what he's doing?
