DAMN YOU STRACZYNSKI!!! Oh right, news... JMS has announced that he will be leaving his ongoing titles Superman and Wonder Woman, in order to devote his time to writing a sequel to his bestselling graphic novel Superman: Earth One. Frequent Fables and Vertigo writer Chris Roberson is scheduled to take over Superman with issue #707, and writer Phil Haster, who previously worked on Green Arrow, Nightwing and El Diablo, will take over Wonder Woman with issue 605. These writers will continue the series using JMS' notes, meaning the stories already in progress will not be aborted. JMS ensures us that he will still be involved in both titles, just not as the monthly writer. According to sources, it is far too early to tell anything about the Earth One sequel. The only information we have so far is that the creative team from earth will be reuniting for the sequel. Read all about it: www.newsarama.com/comics/jms-earth-one-sequel-101110.htmldcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/11/10/breaking-news-superman-earth-one-sequel-in-the-works/What do you guys think about this? Personally, I'm not really happy. I've read Earth One, it was an awesome book in my opinion, and I'm glad they're not forgetting about the universe, and that the sequel is coming. Just... Not so soon. Not at the expense of two already started great stories. I very little about these two writers, who knows, maybe they'll do good, but I think it's safe to say that matching JMS' writing quality is a tall order. I just hope they haven't ruined two titles just for the sake of one graphic novel. Your thoughts?

Yeah, just read this on CV. Kind'a disappointed in him. I thought he was gonna bring back the super in Superman. Seems he just bigged him up to let us down. Reading his Superman run so far I could tell he was gonna go somewhere (no pun intended). I guess we can be happy for Earth One Volumes.
Chris Roberson on the other hand, I hear is on the level of writing as Bill Willingham and Matthew Struges. Is there any truth to this?

I'd be very glad not to deal with James Robinson. Want another route this time. Someone who can write the character better.

Chris Roberson and Phil Hester are two great writers, I'm bummed by the fact that JMS ain't staying but they could have done way worse at choosing the replacements

The only person I wanted to take over for Superman was JMS, so I don't know who I want any more.
