- Late to the party, I know (mostly because I forgot to post here when the .1 Avengers issue was released), but Bendis really, really has a thing for Ultron to the point he wants to use him every chance he gets. I'm absolutely fine with that. I enjoy Ultron as a character, since he tends to test the Avengers to their very core, but seeing Bendis using him even in Moon Knight (albeit in a more limited capacity) kinda throws me off. I can understand him wanting to utilize the character more, but I'd rather he was more eclectic in the use of such a villain. He already used him in Avengers # 1-6, and the Avengers .1 issue over the past year.@ Bentley - Yes, the Ultron respect thread is up.

Ultron is awesome. Did I put my Ultron respect thread here already? Anyhow, I dropped New Avengers, I'm not interesting in Fury Corps. Right now I'm just reading the Avengers, AA and the Children's Crusade. Ha, you did what I did. I sorta dropped New Avengers about that time, too for a similar reason, but not on purpose. It was definitely on accident, but I haven't been interested in the Fury Corps enough to make up for that accident. He already used him in Avengers # 1-6, and the Avengers .1 issue over the past year. I understand, but I feel that the way it's goin' down the way it needs to. 1-6, for all intents and purposes, was pretty much a set up for the things to come, and that .1 issue was more of a reminder of what's to come, probably after the Fear Itself event, and if I were to guess, the Moon Knight thing is just the road to the big Ultron event. It just seems like one big story happening under the other stories being told, to lead to some big finale thing. I've always liked it when writers did things that way.

Yep, the problem with big villains is that they're better used scarcely, Ultron already had Annihilation Conquest as a way to look like a huge threat, it's going to be hard to keep it that way and use it at the same time.
That's one of the things I like about Kang as a character. Because of the fact he's always involved in Time Travel stories, which must be scarce because the concept leads to sloppy story telling, he's only seldomly used and is kept "fresh", despite his iconic status.
Fear Itself is good so far, but I'd like to see a non-cosmic Avengers arc, they are working in scales that are way "too big" for the storytelling I like -it's good from time to time, but soon they will reach the point of overdoing-.

So did Fear Itself Thing kill a certain red Avenger in the recent book? If he did, it wasn't clear. He hit him really, really far though. I guess we shall see.

I don't know, based off the interviews, which I assume are taking place long after Fear Itself, he is probably going to be gone for the rest of this event and then some. Plus one hit was cleaving right through his skin with that hammer, I'd imagine whatever healing factor he has is going to be stressed keeping him alive.

Hulk #37 is a Fear Itself tie in and looks like its going to detail the fight much more closely.

Don't be all that excited. It's unlikely he'll keep them. But yeah, Wanda's plan is to restore the powers of all the mutants she depowered.
