Yeah, this thread'll be all about posting your characters for the RP. Let's keep this place chat free, so it doesn't get too cluttered up. If you want to only role play as a digimon, that's cool. If you want to only role play as a human, that's cool too. If you want to role play as them both, be my guest. Anyway, you can make your bio's as lengthy or brief as you want. Doesn't really matter so long as your posts in the actual role play are decent. You can have multiple characters if you want, but just know that you'll have to keep up with all of them, and make them all interesting. Also, you don't have to create an RP profile for a character that's just for some random NPC person in the RP. This thread should only be for characters that will play a major role in the story. Oh, here's something. What should happen when you're creating a digimon and deciding on his evolution line? Well, there's quite a few websites out there that have all that laid out. For this RP, we'll be using Wikimon. It's a nice little wikipedia on every digimon there is to date. So all you have to do is go there, type in the name of the digimon you want to use, scroll down to evolves from and evolves to until you have a nice little line that you think is cool. Using Agumon as an example, an evolution line that would be cool for him would be Botamon, Koramon, Agumon, Flare Lizarmon, Volcdramon, and Spinomon. See, simple as that. All I did was pick and choose, and you can do that for any Digimon you can think of. The only restriction is that you can't have the digimon you pick evolve into a Royal Knight. Now what does that mean? Well, the Royal Knights are a set of characters that I plan on reserving until a certain moment in the RP. Other than that, you got free reign. Name: Jordan Johns aka JJ Age: 21 Gender: Male Nationality: African American Appearance: At first glance, JJ looks like a nobody, or to be better stated, he looks like an everbody. Nothing in particular stands out about him in the way of fighting the social norm. He typically wears an average tee shirt, average jeans, and when he's cold, an average jacket. He doesn't really go for a certain color scheme, but he does seem fond of blue and grey. Nothing too flashy or over the top. Not that you can really get flashy or over the top or certainly designer clothing shopping at Wal-Mart.
He's neither fat nor athletic, neither tall nor short. His black, coarse hair is usually cut short, close to his head with a buzz. His vision isn't all that great, and since he's not much of a fan of contacts, you'll usually see him sporting a pair of glasses. He's been told that his eyeglasses work out better in aiding with his astigmatism anyway, so it's all good.
He hardly smiles, but you won't find him scowling a lot either. His mind is usually wandering about, so more often than not, you'll find anything ranging from a blank stare to just a pleasant gaze off into the distance. It really depends on what he's thinking about.
[/size] Background: JJ comes from humble beginnings. He was born and raised in less than ideal living conditions. It was always just him, his mom, and his grandma. His neighborhood was among the most violent in DC. He learned real quick not to cause trouble, often keeping to himself and his own. He didn't need his mom to tell him more than once not to stay out past dark.
Having more or less, alienating himself from the rest of the world, he put most, if not all, of his focus on his schooling. His grades may not have been above average, but by the time he got to the tenth grade, he realized grades were not an adequate reflection of how smart or dumb he was. His mother thought differently, though. He can remember many firm scoldings about the occasional D's or F's he brought home on his report card. She would always say that grades were going to be the only way he was going to make a better life for himself.
Over the years, he started to see her point.
So he applied himself, particularly in the math and science fields. His work paid off as he managed to get enough scholarships and grants to allow him to enroll in Georgetown University. There, he's currently pursuing a computer science degree with a minor in mathematics.
[/size] Personality: He is very reserved. Growing up on his own, he hasn't really made many friends. Really, if he were given the opportunity to make friends, he wouldn't quite know how. That said, he's not really interested in being a people person. He's not shy or anything, but he genuinely prefers to be alone.
But when it comes to how he portrays himself online, the use of anonymity provides him with just the excuse he needs to come out of his protective shell. He posts regularly on his blog mostly about how he sees the world through his eyes. He usually has a comment on every news event he happens to come by, and he has no problem expressing his views even if it were to offend others, and if someone were to take issue with his manner, he'd gladly defend his reasoning, and even his mannerism.
People have commented on his blog about how mean he is at times. He doesn't use vulgar language, but he does have a way of making people feel bad. He knows this. He realizes it. And frankly, he doesn't care. He doesn't care because as long as he's online, it doesn't really matter.
In keeping with his privacy, he doesn't show or hint at anything that would give away who he really is. Off the internet, he this is true as well. He won't give his full name unless it's absolutely necessary, even in class. Private and reserved is the motto he lives by.
