The official Megaman thread. Talk about this amazing series here.
And I mean all the Megaman games, normal, X, ZX, Battle Network, any of it.

Whats there to say I loved most of the Megaman X titles, Megaman Zero titles, Battle Network and even Starforce, although in my mind I wasn't a fan of the 3d models, it just didn't look as pretty on the DS as the classic format that was full of win from Battle Network.
As for anime titles, I enjoyed those too, Classic Rockman anime was one of the two things I watched everyday after school, with Transformers. I also watched Battle Network series, at least untill it was doing that whole "We can make Mega Man into a super armor to get on you" somewhat lost interest at that point, although I wish it was at least used once in the games that way. I think Starforce the anime series was probably pretty solid too.
All this Mega Man talk makes me want to whip out my DS and kill some virus or robot thats out to destroy the world with only one certain blue bomber to save the day.
ROCKMAN GO!

I tried ZX once and it kicked my ass. I seem to suck at any non-NES Megaman game.

Megaman Legends and Megaman 8 hold special places in my heart. Holy crap I'm ashamed to say I forgot to mention Legends. Now if I could only get a couple of million dollars together to get myself the sequel to Mega Man legends 2 and get Rockman back to Earth lol.

Original Megaman games will always be my favorite, but the X series comes in a close second and mostly because I can't stand Zero.

I have played the living hell out of the Megaman franchise. The original ones not so much (though I did beat 9), but the X series and the Zero games specifically. I've completed X1 and X4 (which has the most ridiculous-ass boss run in the history of ridiculous boss runs ever), all the Zero games save for 4 (I was sort of worn out after completing Z3 eight times in a row for perfect ranks), and ZX: Advent, which, safe to say, gets pretty crazy at the end but I had a lot of fun. I also enjoyed the Battle Network games, though I only played and completed 2, but still, some fun RPGs with a unique battle system. I haven't tried any of the DS Network/Starforce/whatever games, though. I think my favourite game in the entire series is either X1, or Zero 1. X1 was what introduced me to the franchise, but Z1 was amazing because it was the first game that was entirely based around Zero alone and it actually had some really great emotional impact near the end. But then again, I liked all the Zero games I played so I could probably switch them in and out. Really if you haven't played any Megaman game ever, you're missing out on some great 2D action, honestly. Capcom has you covered, brotha: www.capcom.co.jp/rockman/dash3/

!@#$ !@#$ !@#$ YES!!! YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Something I never thought Capcom would get around to jumping, especially when the man himself behind it told fans he'll need a couple of million to make it happen. I guess the PSP titles must have brought some renewed interest / life back into Legends. Now time to dust off Legends one and 2 and sit by me PSP or PS3(I don't care which one it's for!!!)

Now time to dust off Legends one and 2 and sit by me PSP or PS3(I don't care which one it's for!!!) WELL YOU SEE about that. It's for the 3DS! Exclusively! So even though you'll have to pump out $300 dollars to play it, uh, it'll look like a PS3/360 game (seriously, the thing can pump out visuals that make the PSP look downright ugly in comparison) and it'll be in 3D? Oh well whatever, I was gonna get one of them anyways and I'm sure the game will be great.

Legends has been riding the Sony bus for the entire ride and they hop onto the nintendo for the 3rd title? From what I've heard the new PSP system and the Nintendo 3DS are going to be powerful handheld machines, the only problem is my pockets lacking the depth to get them. >.> DAMN YOU CAPCOM!

Mega Man needs a reboot in my opinion.
I loved the Classic and X series. The Zero series and ZX were great as well.
I never tried the Legends or the Battle Network series though. I want to.
