Since this thread doesn't exist yet I assume we are all taking a rain check on that wack ass 'Captain American on Trial' arc..right?

I haven't read Cap since the Baron Zemo arc. I was mostly waiting for this arc to wrap up before reading it in its entirety.

Haha, I figured this would be one of the more popular discussion threads. So I guess I'll start some discussion...
I haven't read Cap's solo book, but how far into Brubaker's run did Bucky take over as Cap?

I haven't read Cap's solo book, but how far into Brubaker's run did Bucky take over as Cap? Brubaker started at the beginning of Vol.5..Bucky first appears as Cap in issue #34.Cap was dead by issue #25 so the rest of it was Bucky as Winter Soldier along with Falcon.

Ah gotcha. Thanks Vance. Have a favorite arc or run? Everything after Cap's death and before this Trial arc is awesome.

Everything prior to Cap's death was also awesome. Brubaker struck gold with this volume.

Everything prior to Cap's death was also awesome. Brubaker struck gold with this volume. That's what I thought before I read it again. It worked better when we didn't know Cap was going to die.

Cap has had so many good stories in the past decade. He's been one of the best written characters IMO.

That looks A LOT better than I expected. I wish I saw more 'acting' from Evans in the trailer, though.

I think Evans is going to do an amazing job as Cap/Steve.
I hope we get a full length trailer soon, like this week!

I never really thought about it before, but Evans must have gone through some hardcore s**tload of physical preparation for this movie. He had to slim down to become a 98 pound weakling for the beginning AND bulk up enough to pass as the pinnacle of human perfection. A lot of actors have to do one of those things for a movie role, but doing both must have been absolutely brutal.

I'm glad you brought that up, and I think you will be pretty surprised by this. He was actually not required to do that, the whole slimming down part. That whole 98 pound weakling look was done with CGI! How impressive is that? Watching that trailer I'm thinking wow, that is a serious little pathetic weakling. Major props to them on that one.
Chris Evans (and Chris Hemsworth) both did an amazing job getting into unbelievable shape to bring these characters to life, and major props to them as well.

Man, Captain America: Man Out of Time is a tearjerker. Firstly, Man Out of Time is Effing Amaaaaziiiing! And I remember when they announce Evans was playing Cap, I was ready to throw furniture through my windows. xD I despised the idea of him being Stevey, but after seeing the first pictures, and now the teaser trailer, I think he'll do a fantastic job!
