Actor Liam Neeson has confirmed to IGN that he won't be returning to his role of Ra's Al Ghul for Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie. But what about Ra's daughter, Talia? Bane and Talia have had a history together. They had a brief affair when Bane was staying with Ra's, and her father even wanted Bane to marry her. Ra's viewed Bane as 'the next best thing to Batman.' How romantic. However, after one night together she turned him down and refused to be with him, but Bane's passion for her remained. So do you guys think Talia would compliment Bane well now that we know he's a key player, or would he be better off with another lead or even on his own? Discuss! I can't say I'd be thrilled to see her. It's an option, but Catwoman and Bane himself have more than enough gravitas to sustain a sense of menace to Batman. I could see her in a short mastermind type of role, but not more.

Eh considering the Nolan verse. I'd have put Talia in the series before Selina. But that's just me.

She has the connection to Ra's already, for certain, but since it was already announced Catwoman will be there I don't see a reason for Talia to be introduced, at least solely from the angle K4tz suggests (her dynamic with Bane).

I never liked that angle with Bane at all, and agree it's a poor reason to introduce her. Thought she could perform superbly as a mastermind in the story, manipulating both Selina and Bane.

I can see that happening.

Hold up, foos. I never suggested that's how they could use her in the movie, I just elaborated on what their history in the comics was in case some readers don't know. This is mostly discussion about if you guys think she could make a good addition and why. And if not, if there's another character who could add an interesting dynamic to the plot regarding bane/catwoman.

I think Talia would be awesome in the movie. Just don't want her introduced as a love interest for Bane.

I think Talia could work better as an antagonist/love interest considering Batman and Catwoman always seem to come to an understanding, which I presume will happen in this film, as well. Talia is more uncompromising, which could offer for greater conflict. But with Catwoman there, that angle seems eliminated.

Not really I think, it could create a love triangle. Catwoman acts bad a lot of time, but she has a good bottom so to speak, to use a canadian saying. Talia on the other hand looks sweeter often times. But inside she is ruthless as hell.

I agree to that, but that would require considerable character development for Talia, for which I am unsure if the film could have space for. Considering Batman, Bane, and Catwoman will be focal points, Talia's motives won't be explored nearly as well, or as in-depth, if she is indeed included.

Looks like neeson is pissed. And TBH it looks like nolan picked catwoman out of pressure than his own choice(my opinion) and bane's a pimp. Would'nt mind seeing a movie involving deathstroke and talia after rises. and there were rumours of nolan looking for an European actress but Batman on film took them down, quite quickly. and better bane/talia than jason/talia

If Talia was in it, it'll be cool to see the villain getting a romantic link, then that crumbles when Talia wants Batman. Bane then gets angry and wants to "break" him.

and better bane/talia than jason/talia both of these are absolutely horseshit ideas. Especially the last one. Soldier: He's dead in the Nolan verse, as far as we know. In the comics he died in "death and the maidens", but was resurrected in the "Ressurection of Ra's Al'Ghul" arc.
