Marvel has announced a new mini series that will change everything you knew about the X-Men! It is titled X-Men: Prelude. Here is the story:

This May, leading up to the biggest decision of the X-Men’s lives, Eisner Award-winning writer Paul Jenkins along with artists Robert De La Torre and Laurence Campbell sow seeds of discontent amongst the ranks of the mutant nation in X-MEN: PRELUDE #1 (of 4)! Seems strange to me for a couple reasons:

-Wasn't the 'Age of X' event supposed to 'change the X-Men' already?
-Between this, Fear Itself, and killing a character every quarter, it doesn't exactly seem like the Heroic Age to me, at least not anymore.

I thought it was just some alt reality story, like AoA or Ultimate.

Maybe you are right, I don't keep up with the X-Men outside of Uncanny X-Force.

No, you are right. AoX is supposed to have ramifications for the 616 universe as far as mutants are concerned.

I can only guess that this new thing is a result of whatever AoX causes.
