Remeber when DS was a good guy/merc with a conscious? I blame Johns. He started off as a bad guy I'll point out but yes I remember. Though personally I find that he can be awesome in any number of roles from protagonist to outright villain |

He only had like three villainous appearances (Ravager attacks the Titans, Promethius stuff, Judas Contract) from his introduction until the early 2000s vs a dozen team ups with the Titans and his own book where he was the hero.
Sucks that he's randomly a supervillain for no reason these days.

Which was kinda silly since Deathstroke is soooooo far about Green Arrow in terms of fighting ability. It left Winick coming up with plot device after plot device to keep Ollie from ending up dead. I can understand Slade getting kinda pissed off after the fight in Identity Crisis but you can't really get mad when an archer sticks you with an arrow and when you take on the Justice League with next to no backup, you pretty much take it for granted that you're gonna get hurt. Considering Ollie and Deathstroke actually teamed up during Grell's Green Arrow series (I wanna say somebody hired him to take down some criminal group that GA stumbled upon) you'd think the two wouldn't be huge enemies all of the sudden. As for the whole wedding crashing thing, that was long after Johns decided to ignore the past 10 years of continuity and turn Deathstroke into a criminal mastermind. |

Once while at a bar I had a half-drunk moment of revelrie where I imagined Deathstroke teaming up with Bruce Wayne and them going on an ass-kicking rampage of revenge against an army of characters.
