I really wish the X-Men had been given more time on the Manhattan scene (just cruising around and doing the standard superhero gig). But most of their history has been exactly what I was ranting about. Stopping mutant terrorist groups and having back-and-forth wars with Magneto, Sinister, ect. They rarely actually got out and pounded the pavement like any normal superheroes. Actually, a recent issue showed each X-man stopping small crimes in San Francisco. Yeah, they still get out and pound the pavement sometimes, but not really enough to my liking.

So they are in a different ball game. Hmm. I guess I should start reading X-Factor more...
