@ Lord - Metron was seen both in his New God, and human guise during FC, the transformation being triggered by his ability to solve a rubik cube in one move less than possible. When he is seen in # 1, it can be said that Metron simply travelled to the past to introduce the concept of fire to humans and help them evolve, and that this action transpires after the events seen in the present. Phantom is the expert, but that is my educated guess. Shilo did see Orion, though. My bad on orion, but he was in his normal body when he was shot. and metron appeared both as an old man and as a new god to bruce wayne. i normally assume that metron stayed away from the war and now he uses his avatars who appear as humans.

Most of the question razed here can be attributed to the mother of all continuity clusterfucks that was Final Crisis. Originally, Grant Morrison envisioned a giant cosmic war in which Darkseid won, and as a result the New Gods were forced to hide on Earth, and Darkseid would come to Earth to hunt them down. In the meantime, DiDiot (yes, I know, lame, sorry) and the DC editorial got their hands on them and all went to hell. Instead of the cosmic war, we got some idiotic menace quietly hunting down and killing the New Gods which couldn't even decide what it wanted to be in between its issues. This deviated to such an extent from Grant Morrison had asked them to write that Morrison was forced to alter his original design to at least partially keep some semblance of consistency (Darkseid's spirit going back through time and possessing people is entirely invented for this purpose). That was, In my knowledge, the only part which he acknowledged. Everything else he just threw out the window. As he should have.

Unlucky Grant. How awesome would it have been if he could have done it his way completely?

Yeah. I think the biggest problem was that they tried to make it into this big event, which it wasn't conceived as, while simultaneously shafting it in favor of Blackest Night, which was to be their big big event, and which all editorial decisions were directed at. It wasn't going to work out good.

true enough, I still liked final crisis thought. It was worth it just for the "I... AM... THE... NEW GOD" speech.

Don't get me wrong, I love FC, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been so much more.

Black Racer is supposed to be above any God.
And I'm personally not that impressed with Yuga Khan myself.

Black Racer is supposed to be above any God. And I'm personally not that impressed with Yuga Khan myself. According to a lot of people, many people are above god because someone said it in another comic imprint.

Power scale of gods in DC: 1-Darkseid (per Crisis info) 2-Zeus 3-Highfather 4-Athena
just above are abstract entities like the Spectre at full power, Death, etc, in ascending other till you reach the top which is occupied by the Presence.

Nice find. I want to see what Phantom thinks of that.
PS - Didn't inspect the list thoroughly but if there's a Loeb story in there I will disavow CBR.
