Yes i'm aware that there is a new gods discussion thread, but i feel darkseid deserves one of his own. so lets start with the following question
What was his role in infinite crisis? was he boss darkside by this point?

I think the Great Darkness Saga made me appreciate him for what he is. Because for a long time I went by the dreaded Loeb version and other versions. Now I know never to trust him again. Also once I've got lot of other readings out my way I'll be reading the Kirby's The Fourth World.

He was Boss Darkside in Morrison's Seven Soldiers, which was published slightly after IC. Then again, I have no idea how that ties-in with DotNG, which Phantom advised me not to read.

I read the first issue of the Seven Soldiers arc then forgot about it. What's DotNG?

Death of the New Gods.

Death of the new gods. this and countdown are mostly ignored(i believe morrison retconned it away)but stuff like death of knockout, the destruction of earth 51,jason todd's adventures and maybe some other stuff have been referenced . but ultimately it does'nt blend with seven soldiers and final crisis at all, hell countdown and dotng cant even blend with each other,LOL.

Oh yeah. I think he did by converting their existence into another form.

I find it hard to believe that darkseid was completly oblivious of the creation of 52 universes, especially when one could catch a glimpse of all those earths from their bed room windows.

You know the way Mister Miracle died in DotNGs? And he looked totoally different in FC? I just thought that when they "died" they were converted into another being, recovering their power over time.
I could be wrong. Just what I thought.

Also, the Mister Miracle in FC is Shilo Norman (escaping death FTW), while in DotNG iit was Scott Free.

FC/SS referenced some cosmic war between the new gods. but what i fail to understand is that if darkseid won that war,how the hell did he die while orion survived?only to ofcourse die by the radion bullet later.

Oh. I thought that was him. :/ Guess it would have been better if I read the older comics then.

BTW what's the difference between administrator, global moderator and moderator?

My memort is hazy, but doesn't Shilo see Orion and the rest of the New Gods in human bodies, hiding on Earth during 7S: Mister Miracle?
BTW what's the difference between administrator, global moderator and moderator? A moderator can only moderate a designated section of the site.
Global moderator has jurisdiction over every single section.
Administrator can basically do anything he likes, everywhere.

@ Lord - Metron was seen both in his New God, and human guise during FC, the transformation being triggered by his ability to solve a rubik cube in one move less than possible. When he is seen in # 1, it can be said that Metron simply travelled to the past to introduce the concept of fire to humans and help them evolve, and that this action transpires after the events seen in the present. Phantom is the expert, but that is my educated guess. Shilo did see Orion, though.
