Entertainment Weekly has revealed a new look at Captain America's nemesis, the Red Skull! They also have an exclusive interview with the director, Joe Johnson. Captain America: The First Avenger is set to be released by Marvel on July 22.

I know it fits with whatever plot they're going for, but it just feels kinda wrong to see him sporting the HYDRA symbol instead of a swastika.

Looks god damn bad ass is what it is.
I've heard that the Red Skull is his actual face, and he wears a human face mask over it. Don't know how true that is.
Nexus- There have been numerous interviews with guys like Joe Johnston and the guy writing the comic book move tie in series, that explain that Nazis are in the movie. Not only are Nazis in the movie, but the Red Skull heads HYDRA which operates within the Nazi regime. They also said Captain America will be kicking some Nazi ass.

Oh, ok. It gives me warm feelings inside to know Cap will still be kicking some Nazi's faces in.
It would be sick if they ended up doing a scene where Cap punches Hitler in the jaw.

Yeah, that will be great, I agree.
I have also heard that during the time when Captain America is doing his USO tour (the time when he is just putting on shows and singing and dancing for troops to raise morale), he punches an actor dressed as Hitler in the jaw during one of the shows. Once again, not sure if that is completely accurate, but it wouldn't surprise me.

In the trailer, we do see RS peel a face off in what can only be a nightmare for kids. I hope they use the original RS origin. The gas thing. |
