Alright everyone, what are your favorite / the best games based on Marvel Characters. We have a PS3 and the following Marvel-based games for it:
Ultimate Alliance (love it!) Ultimate Alliance 2 (love it almost as much as the first one) Iron Man (sucks)
I know there are a lot more games out there so tell me what I need to be on the look-out for!

I also liked Marvel UA 1/2. It followed the same trend as Mass Effect, though. 1st had great upgrading/RPG elements, while the second had a massive upgrade in combat/presentation/graphics, but simplified the RPG focus. I loved the second, but it was too short and too easy to upgrade everyone

Ultimate Spider-Man for the gamecube was also pretty fun at the time.

Thanks everyone! Anybody have any experience with any of the newer stuff for PS3 like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Iron Man 2, Super Hero Squad, Spider Man: Shattered Dimensions or The Incredible Hulk?
I'm also thinking about picking-up Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Thoughts?

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - I played the demo and I've gotta admit, it was REALLY good for a movie video game. Usually they're rushed, making them average or just crappy, but that game was brutal and a lot of fun based on what I played. Iron Man 2 - Didn't look very good, and reviews seem to agree LOL SSH - Dunno because I don't have a kid like you, so I plan on never playing it lol SM: Shatter Dimensions - Looks like a fun game. Definitely want to rent it some time. Hulk - Haven't played, but I heard his game for the Game Cube was really good (ultimate destruction) Marvel VS Capcom 3 is a good fighting game, but a bit too fast paced and crazy for me.

I'm also thinking about picking-up Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Thoughts? Wolverine was just AWESOME. Seriously, i never thought i would play such a good movie based game. Actually i consider it one of the best super hero games in general. Iron man.... No idea SHS..... I don't like it.... Spider-man SH is pretty good. Very good combat system, nice graphics and a pretty good story. You should play it. Incredible Hulk is a nice game, but not anything special IMO. Still is pretty fun. Marvel vs capcom 3 seems cool. You should check it if you want. =]

Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects(X-BOX): I know alot of people didn't like this game but I liked it. It was a fun game. Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro(PS1): Didn't play much but it was a nice game and not very difficult to control. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1(PC): Nice game.

Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (for PS2 and Gamecube-NOT the PS3/360/Wii game. Two very different games and though I haven't played the newer one, I've heard it's completely inferior to Ultimate Destruction) is tied with Batman: Arkham Asylum as my favourite comic-book game. Seriously. It's ridiculously good and you really feel like you're playing a Hulk game-it's nice and open world, the enemies are huge, you have tons of upgrades to buy, and it's fairly lengthy and has a solid plot.
I jumped, latched on to an attack helicopter, kicked off of it so it crashed, caught a Hulkbuster in mid-air, pile-drived it into a gas station, watched it blow up, and then punched another one so hard he flew down the street and into a semi.
It's really wonderful the amount of random insanity that can happen in that game.
Other good Marvel games:
The Marvel Vs. Capcom games are all lots of fun, and since MvC3 just game out it'll be really easy to find. Hard competition if you plan to play it online but if you have some friends around to play with it's a blast.
Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are both fun open-world Spider-Man games, with very different plots and graphical styles and stuff. Ultimate Spider-Man was, in my opinion, more fun but it's also a very short game and there's not a lot left to do after it. Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro are both fun, more linear games for the N64 and PS1 (PS1 only for the latter).
X-Men Legends/Legends 2 are very similar to the Ultimate Alliance games, just a bit older and more primitive. Still lots of fun with four people all playing together, though.
Stay away from Marvel Nemesis-that game is pretty awful and it literally kills all the Marvel heros in a really dumb storyline and replaces them with a bunch of lame characters. Graphics are kind of nice but the fighting engine is some awful stuff.
I'm not sure about the state of backwards compatibility on the PS3 (though I should, I own one), so I don't know if the PS2 games that I and others have listed would work. If you plan to pick any of those up, it'd be a good idea to look online and see if your PS3 can play them. Anyways, hope this helps and such and such.

That's exactly why I'd never buy SD or the new one. There's no replay value, it's a rental at best, IMO.
