3.5 is a good score. I mean, it lays ground work for what's soon to come, and it did that in an exceptional way, so I'd say that would be the thing that should make it more than being just a 3. I also enjoyed the dream sequence. I like how everyone in there confronted him with different things. My favorite part was Marla referencing One More Day, because it was funny and I laughed, and it was true.
With that said, the dream sequence really wasn't my favorite part out of the issue. I loved the funeral, and I loved Massacre doin' what he did.
The funeral was great because there wasn't dialog. Dialog, on occasion has a way of taking away from the feelings and emotions. I heard a quote somewhere before where it was like "words lie, people don't" or some crazy mess like that, but what I got from it was most of the emotions, thoughts, an' junk people have are displayed in their actions and inactions, and when a comic goes through the no speaking thing, that's really emphasized, because that's all there is to it emphasize. Takes a talented artist and a talented story writer to do that, and it was done well in this issue.
And like I said, the Massacre scene was on point. Probably due to the dream sequence and thing that lead up to it, but still. It was perfect. Just those two pages made me want to see what's in store for the next issue as soon as possible, because it tied up everything this issue was about into one focal point for the next issue.

It's funny, NeXus, the more I think about the issue the more I'm inclined to lean towards a 3.5 as well. I didn't really have time to elaborate on the lack of dialogue, but I guess I can do that here ;D
The relationship between Parker/Jameson/co. has become very interesting since they've all become family. I would have loved to not just see the emotion, but also hear about it. It looks like Jonah's turned a new leaf with his hatred for Spider-Man, but I would have liked to have heard him express himself as well after this tragic event. It was done well (thanks to the art), but since I'm enjoying the characters and their relationships so much, I would have appreciated the interaction even more.
