I liked Spawn and still do somewhat. But I believe it's one series that really should have ended. The Apocalypse/godspawn arc where he rewrites reality is where it should have ended.

yeah... Al Simmons is awesome as Spawn... especially when he had Divine Powers

Spawn is still a book that I enjoy reading. Does anyone besides me keep up with the series? Al Simmons was great an' all, but after that Armageddon fight they did the right thing to kill him off and start new. Endgame has given new life to the series. Love the vibe I get from it. It's like a different book, but the same feeling. Definitely recommend it to those lookin' for a decent read and have an interest in street level, angel/demon stuff. And the art is off the chain.

Yep, I thought that was a pretty good plot twist. When that was revealed, it all sunk in. I was thinkin', "Oh, that's why he went to Hell."

No! No that's STUPID! He went to hell because he KILLED PEOPLE! Not because he beat his wife! Imo anyway, that ruined the entire story.

He killed people and beat his wife. Either way you look at it, it's pretty bad, so it really doesn't make a difference.

True. But all those times I was supposed to feel bad for him become invalid. Irks me is all. I can get over it, now that he's some omega supervillain or something. I haven't been reading anything image aside from Haunt.

He's the main villain in Image united and with typical Image douchebaggery we may never see the ending of that one.

Psh, Image United. I'm not one to call a comic bad, but if I did that would definitely be it. Don't read it unless you loved every last bit of the things people dislike about comics in the 90s. That said, I thought it was pretty cool how the writer of Spawn still managed to pull somethin' worth somethin' outta it and tie it into the main story. That's a feat in and of itself.

Anyway, lookin' forward to issue 200.

Wasn't there talk at some point the book was supposed to end after issue 100 (I think) when he killed Malebolgia? Or is that just when some people believed it should have ended?

Oh yeah...Spawn is one of the first comics I actually got when I was younger. Back in the early-mid 90's when my dad still read comics when I was a kid, he would get me Spawn issues once in a while cuz I really liked the character.
Spawn is an awesome character, that's for sure.

Nah, don't think I've heard that. As far as I know, the series will continue after 200. What I do know is that for the 200 issue, Todd's gonna come back and draw on it.
