I absolutely refuse to spoil anything about this issue, so relax on that front. SYNOPSIS Venom VS Jack O'Lantern. THE GOOD Every. Single. Panel. No, I'm serious. In "Dark Reign", we had Gargan-Venom getting beaten by dogs in the eye. Now we have Venom taking AK-47 fire like a cool breeze, wiping out enemy opposition, and fighting incredibly insane super villains, all while maintaining his grasp on his anger. There are no flaws. THE BAD Did I not just say that there's nothing wrong? There isn't. The only flaw with this issue isn't even a flaw with the actual story itself, just read the 654.1 issue before reading this. It wouldn't have hurt to add more to the recap page. THE OVERVIEW Buy this book. Just... just buy it, dude. Seriously.

Nice review. I thought Jack O'Lantern was killed by Punisher in Civil War though. :/

So a perfect issue for you, eh? I wonder if there's a flaw with their failsafe. It seems odd to let Flash live, despite saying he "Venom'd" out in less time than the previous host.

He was on the cusp of going apeshit, and General Dodge even tells him after that he was close to hitting the switch, but Flash regained control in time for that decision to become unnecessary. And yes. It was perfection. Marvel just made up for Gargan entirely with this. Two issues.

There are no spoilers in this review, I promise! PremiseVenom fights for his life in The Savage Land up against Kraven The Hunter. The GoodThe way that Venom was put on an even playing field with Kraven was really well done, in my opinion. For those who have seen the preview pages, Venom's been drugged with the same stuff we've seen from "GRIM HUNT", that auditory hallucination of drums that deafen the victim(To those who argue that Venom is immune to such poisons, I'd argue that since the symbiote hasn't fully bonded to Flash, he's susceptible to these things), put that on top of the fact that Venom is in The Savage Land, wherein Kraven has been for months, and Flash has never been, you've got a pretty even field. The rest of the fight was really well done, and there's more drama in Flash's personal life that makes you empathize with him. And let's not forget the art by Tony Moore - which is, as always, fantastic. The BadI only have two problems with this issue. The "in media res" starting point that we get for this issue. We know Kraven is hunting Flash, but we're really never quite sure why(It's implied that Kraven thinks he's Spider-man - and considering Spidey was wearing black in GRIM HUNT....). We know Flash is getting beaten, but I think it would have been more impressive if this had been a two parter, and the first part consisted of the beginning of the fight with Kraven - this feels like a start of a "PART TWO" issue to me - which is funny, because the first issue suffers from not feeling like a first issue (the awesome-factor makes up for that in spades, of course). The second problem is that the issue feels short. This could just be me, maybe I just need a longer book with more of this, or maybe I'm just more excited and it makes the experience feel short - could just be me. That also could be because I read the preview pages and, due to that, had already read a fourth of the comic. The OverviewThese problems are NOT that severe, and they do not hinder the entertainment value of this issue; this is not a dive in quality, this is still a great series. If you're not reading Venom, you're missing out! 4.5/5

It's that time again, kids! Venom #3! Wooot! (lol theres no spoilruz promiz k?) The Plot While maintaining control of himself, Agent Venom AKA Flash Thompson must manage to stop the vibranium shipment of Crime-Master, while dealing with the ramifications of said villain obtaining his secret identity! The Good The (brilliantly written) running internal monologue shows us exactly what Flash is feeling, and how users of symbiotes in general can feel when things start to get hairy (it's a deep insight into the characters that has been lacking for some time, but not anymore!) The action is truly on an EPIC scale! Jack O'Lantern is awesome. Fowler's art is phenomenal and maintains the tone of the story that Remender and Moore set up for the past two issues. The Bad Oh, I'm sorry. You must have this book confused for another. My apologies. The Overview BUY IT! SERIOUSLY, WHY ARE YOU NOT BUYING IT?! SCORE: 5/5
