So I have been thinking lately and I have a question for the rest of the ledgerites. Am I the only one who finds a huge drop in quality Batman villains? What I mean is while he has a few consistently good villains (Joker, Poison Ivy, Bane, Catwoman, Riddler, and a few more), He has way more villains that are almost unbareable to read (Scarecrow, Penguin, Clayface, Two-Face, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, etc.)
I just loose all want to read any of his older comics because I don't care about Firefly, Ventriloquist, Two-Face, Calender Man, etc.
I guess you could say this applies to all rogue galleries, but I just happen to notice his.

WTF....you don't like Scarecrow or Two-Face? Lame dude. Scarecrow's concept and gimmick is lame Also, when will he get a new trick??? Two-Face gets on my nerves. The coin is annoying and the character isn't worth anything in combat. He doesn't instill fear in his oponents and just doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Strafe... I'm pretty sure saying you don't like Mr. Freeze is a good way to have your sorry ass condemned to Apokolips or something.

I like Poison Ivy. I liked Batman: Arkham Asylum Game's version of Scarecrow. Killer Croc. I don't consider Catwoman a villain if it's Selina Kyle.

Haven't you ever seen Batman TAS? Freeze is one of the most sympathetic, interesting and memorable characters there. I'm not a frequent Batman reader, but I'm pretty sure the modern Freeze is copied from the cartoon.

I loved Batman TAS, but all the stuff I have read with Mr. Freeze in comics hasn't been nearly as good.

Well that's more the writer's fault. Not the character's.

Everyone of Batman's villains in that game are portrayed awesomely! Especially Scarecrow and Killer Croc, IMO. You need to buy this right now for you Playstation 3! Amazon: $27.99. Amazon: Game of the Year; $27.99.

But we're not listing feats here, are we? Some of the greatest stories ever are non canon to the characters involved in them. BTAS proves the character has potential for great stories. It's just the writers' fault they haven't made them.

He has been around for a long time and It doesn't look like anyone is interested in him much.

Well some of my favorite characters are characters with awesome potential no one has ever used in a comic. Just because no one uses them doesn't mean they are good for nothing, nor does it mean they need to adapt or die out. It just means the writers are idiots for not recognizing and utilizing said potential.
