I might have to actually buy a game for the first time in a while. Problem is that I don't always have much time to play. I want to buy a new Xbox as well so I can play Xbox Live wirelessly.

Stealth is so fun. When sniping, decloak a fraction of a second before pulling the trigger, then recloak directly after the shot. That way you don't lose energy ;D

That way you don't lose energy ;D Awesome tip ;D Always hated losing all my power when cloaked. Playing as Alcatraz feels like a cross between the Predator, Solid Snake and Master Chief. Just to reinforce it this game is epic. |

So I just faced a walker/mech for the first time and suffered a hilarious defeat. I noticed my allies were getting pwned, so I armored up and ran out to draw its fire. I was heading to a corner and noticed part of a truck could block the enemy fire/let me heal. When I healed, I cloaked and backed away into a corner about 20 feet away. The mech walked over, aimed it's guns where I was before, and just looked around, confused. I breathed a sigh of relief, waiting for it to turn around so I can hit it's weak point with an RPG. My energy was good since I was just sitting ducked. Does it turn around and walk away? No, it looks around, and shoots out a fucking EMP burst, decloaking me. I just laughed and faced death.

are the suit`s powers good enough to make this stand out of the rest of the FPSes we have new days? how long is the single player mode?

The suit makes it far more tactical than your traditional FPS/CoD clone. Cloaking alone makes trying stealth for everything really, really, fun. Then there's armor which makes you feel like a goddamn terminator at times. To top it off, few things are more satisfying than getting a stealth kill, everyone seeing you, and you have the physical stats to bolt out of there, jumping over walls as enemies in the dust keep shooting lol.
I've heard single player is roughly 12 hours.

But if you're not a fan of the genre (FPS) to begin with, it's not worth a purchase, IMO.
