Cool review guys.
Haven't read it myself but it sounds pretty odd. Wouldn't IM wreck the Sinister Six guys in about a second?
Kinda keen to read just to see how that works.

Thanks, Dane.
Tony wasn't fighting Electro and Sandman, Pepper was. Tony ended up fighting Doc Ock in the end with what me and katz assume to be a weaker version of his Iron Man suit (11 microns thick), and he got trashed by Octavius. Obviously just a plot device to allow Ock a chance to subdue Tony, which bothers me a bit.

Yeah, I don't like jobbing on that sort of incredible scale. Even worse that it's in Iron Man's own book.
Octavius vs Iron Man should take about 0.00001 seconds. Any version of Iron Man would wreck Doc Ock.

Man, every time I see this on the front page, it only shows Video Review: Invincible, and every time, I get my hopes up because I think, "oh snaps, they're reviewing Invincible." And I always get let down because it's not a review of Invincible, but of Invincible Iron Man. Good comic, nonetheless, but it's a real drag that I keep doing this to myself.
Haven't read the issue yet, so I won't look at the review, but I just gotta say I've really been enjoying the direction Fraction's been taking this book. Doc Ock knowing Stark seems like the perfect "yeah, that totally makes sense" scenario, and I really hope this goes through all epic like.

Nexus- I'm going to be putting up a request thread soon for video reviews. Obviously some will be tough for us to do if neither of us follows the series, but we will see what we can do with the requests.

Good review and you both bring up a lot of good points. A couple of times I was wondering if Tony was trying to distract Otto or otherwise get him thinking in another direction. Some of the stuff that was said seemed incredibly random. I did think some of the dialogue with Tony and Otto was good, but it felt forced at other times.
The whole situation with Pepper, Timothy, Electro and Sandman felt extremely contrived to me. Pepper is outside the door, not aware of anything that is going on, and Sandman thinks it's a good idea to reveal themselves to her? Why not just let her realize Timothy isn't answering the door and leave? Instead we end up with this fight that never should have happened in the first place, much less the ridiculousness of what happened during the fight. I felt like that entire sequence was only written to showcase Pepper behaving heroically.
In any case, this book is normally a home-run for me. It's been my favorite read just about every month since #1, but this issue was way sub-par from what Fraction is normally doing. Maybe he's distracted with Thor, Uncanny X-Men, Fear Itself, Casanova, etc. All that said, there were still some good moments in the book and I'm sure it will bounce back to normal Fraction / Larroca IIM standards with #503 next month.
Looking forward to your next review guys. Keep up the good work, it is appreciated!
