No. That kind of bigotry is completely accurate to a 1940s American soldier. He hates the English too. you misunderstand my statement, whether it is in-character accurate or not is irrelevant to why I said it was inaccurate (thought that could be debated), I was referring to a real world level (I mean whether the French really were pussies, etc.)

Ehhhh, Millar's Cap wasn't really a biggot, IMHO. He(Millar) was just playing off a popular stereotype and thought he'd get some laughs. I mean, Cap was dating Jan, an asian Aaron's Cap on the other hand, is a completely blinded, patriotic nut-job. "I'm in France? OH NOOOO!" "Does anyone speak AMERICAN?" "Hey British people, go fix your teeth."

The ultimates 1 and 2 was awesome I have the hardcover copies. Ultimate Cap beating Hank Pym was one of the most glorious moments ever.

I do too Ultimates 1 & 2 are easily in my "Top 10 must read" recommendations. It's such a shame the quality went downhill so fast after that. Ultimates 3 and Ultimatium were absolute train wrecks.

There are many reasons I dropped Marvel, this was one of them. After such an awesome start with Ultimates 1, Ultimates 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, etc. How could marvel do this to their readers? Ultimates 3? WTF!? Ultimatum? Excuse while I vomit.

"Hey British people, go fix your teeth." I never meant to imply Ultimate Captain America is racist. I do not think he is at all actually. But he says bigoted things due to the times he grew up in. Heavy emphasis on patriotism, angry, and he thinks other countries are not as good as his. As far as I know, Ultimate Captain America has never said a racist thing in any of the comics he has been in. I even got the impression that he is very equal minded on anyone as long as they are American.

Hopefully they (basically everyone involved in the creative aspect of those stories) were modest enough to read reviews to realize just how craptacular the work was. Seriously, it was horrific in comparison.

Some of Ultimate Captain America's views are what I think is kind of interesting about him. It emphasizes that he is clearly out of his time.

I think his relationship with Jan really delivered on showcasing that. Since then, I think it's fair to say he's adjusted. The dude went from looking down on public cursing to cursing like a pissed off fanboy, lol.

He just does not want to hear it in public because of those damned 40s public standards. Back in his time, people pretended to have the perfect family in public even when home life was anything but.

He can catch up on tech and the times, but I think changing views would be a little more difficult. Recent issues seem to counter the idea that he has adjusted anyway. He is a super genius and can learn things like a snap but stubborn angry guys have a hard time changing their points of view.

Completely agree with you on that, but I think we can agree that Aaron's version of Ultimate Cap has been far more narrow-minded than Millar's. I haven't read the LATEST Millar stuff, so I can't remark on how he acts there
